저스틴에 대한 추측 #5

스팀유저베이스는 건재하다.

저스틴이 현재까지 흡수해온 "체인"들을 보면 테더같이 세컨드레이어이거나 (초반부터 OMNI라는 비트코인 세컨드레이어로 만들어진 것), 리노같이 커뮤니티 형성이 안돼있고 개발자들이 대부분의 지분을 들고 있는 형태, 혹은 빗토렌트같이 처음으로 블록체인 시스템을 도입하는 형태였음. 이들은 기존 시스템에 큰 변화를 주지 않고 단순히 trc나 다른 토큰을 추가할수 있는 플랫폼들이기때문에 스팀과는 달리 이동/이주가 쉬웠음.

저스틴은 과거 사례들처럼 스티밋에 trc만 얹으면 유저들이 넘어오고 이주작업이 쉽게 끝날 것이라고 예상한것으로 보임. "swap"과 "migration"이란 말을 아무 디테일없이 무분별하게 사용한것을 보면 그는 생각보다 블록체인이나 탈중앙, censorship resistance 개념에 무지한 것을 알수 있음.
(혹은 관심이 없거나..)

스팀은 반대로 [추측2](https://steemit.com/@roundbeargames/2)에서 말했듯이 trc로 만들수있는 단순한 스마트콘트랙트가 아닌, 유저가 보팅을 통해 증인이나 컨텐츠에 대한 보상을 결정할수있는 (최근에는 개발까지 결정), 오로지 소셜미디어를 목표로 탄생한 블록체인임. 이것은 스팀의 정체성이며, 여기에 아무도 지울수 없는 (이론상..) 컨텐츠를 제공함으로써 시장에서의 가치를 인정받아왔음. 개인적으로 그 가치는 네드덕분에 현재 상당히 저평가돼있다고 보지만, [추측3](https://steemit.com/@roundbeargames/3)에서 말했듯이 SMT가 많은 것을 해결할수있을 것으로 보임. 
(출시가 된다면..)

네드로부터 단련된 증인들은 그 정체성을 지키기 위해 소프트포크라는 빠른 결정을 내렸음. 과거 사례를 보면 "네드 지분을 빼야하는거 아닌가"라는 공개적인 논의가 시작되자마자 네드가 제발 저리고 자금을 숨겼던 일이 있는데 이것이 이번 결정에 어느정도 영향을 끼친것으로 보임. "저스틴이 지속적으로 스팀 파괴를 도모하는데 그냥 놔둘것이냐", 아니면 "논란이 있더라도 스팀을 살릴것이냐"를 두고 봤을 때 어느쪽도 그들에게 이득이 되는 결정은 아님.

결과적으로 스팀유저들은 증인들의 손을 들어줬음. [추측4](https://steemit.com/@roundbeargames/4)를 쓸 때만해도 1위였던 @yabapmatt이 내려가고 소프트포크를 지지하겠다고 말한 증인들이 올라가는 것을 보면 어느정도 여론이 보팅에 반영된다고 볼수있음. 물론 탑21 증인들은 소수 지분에 의해 결정되는 경향이 있지만 이건 유저들의 게으름이지 스팀의 시스템적인 문제가 아님.
(보팅을 안하는것 또한 명확한 의사표현이기 때문..)

북미유저들의 트론에대한 증오는 단순함. 저스틴은 이미 과거에 토큰을 지운 사례가 있음.

(tronscan이라는 api레벨에서 막아버린것으로 보임..)

여기서 북미유저들의 성향을 알수있는데, 그것은 저스틴이 돈이 많고 마케팅 효과가 있다한들 스팀의 핵심인 "표현의 자유"는 포기할수 없다는 것임. 굳이 스팀이 아니어도 미국식 민주주의의 핵심인 First, Second Amendment (헌법 수정 제1, 2조?)와 그것에대한 그들의 신념, 행동만 봐도 알수있지만.. 유저가 박근혜를 지지하든, 문재인을 지지하든, 시진핑을 지지하든, 히틀러를 지지하든, 네드를 지지하든 컨텐츠를 지워서는 안된다는 생각, 개인의 자유를 위협하는것이 있다면 그것이 정부일지라도 "무기"를 들고 저항할 권리가 있다는 생각은 (무섭지만..) 미국의 정체성이 바뀌지 않는 이상 사라지지 않을것임. 

하지만 여기에 심각한 오류가 있음. 그들이 그렇게 증오하는 행동을 소프트포크를통해 스스로 했다는 점. 그리고 이것은 저스틴의 앞선 사건처럼 앞으로 스팀이 존재하는한 영원히 따라올것이라는 점. "되돌릴수있음"과 투표로 선출된 유저들의 권한대행이라는 점에서 차이가 있지만, 과연 DPOS는 어디까지 허용해야할것인가에 대한 논쟁은 앞으로도 계속될것으로 보임.

어쨌든 이제 증인들과 저스틴은 "스팀의 지속"과 "어떻게 그것을 보장할것인가"에대한 대화/협상을 할것.. 문제는 저스틴의 [글](https://steemit.com/steemit/@justinsunsteemit/open-letter-to-steem-community)을 보면 커뮤니티즈에 trc를 심고싶어하지 SMT는 원하지 않는다는 점.. 커뮤니티즈라는 서비스에 trc를 심는다는 것은 앞선 사례와 같이 그곳에서 나오는 모든 컨텐츠와 보상을 저스틴 본인이 콘트롤하겠다는 의지라는 점. 여기서 증인들vs저스틴 뿐만 아니라 자유와 censorship을 두고 갈라진 스팀유저들간의 싸움도 시작될것으로 보임.
(혹은 이미 시작됐음..)

참고로 저스틴은 자금력과 마케팅을 이용해 소프트포크를 지지하지 않는 증인들과 유저들을 중심으로 또다른 포크를 진행하거나, 다른 적대적인 방법으로 "스팀 흡수"를 진행할수 있을것이며, 소프트포크를 진행한 증인들보다 이미 절대적으로 유리한 고지에 있음.

저스틴은 지금까지 어느정도 융통성을 보여줬지만, 이번 소프트포크를 계기로 본인이 콘트롤하지 못할 가능성이 크고 스팀의 무한복제로 이어질수 있는 SMT 앞에서 선을 그을수도 있음. 스팀유저베이스는 반으로 갈라질 것이고 일부는 트론으로 이사가고, 일부는 스팀에 남게될 가능성이 있음. 물론 저스틴이 한발 물러서서 SMT 출시까지 stinc에 자금을 지원하고 내버려둔다면 얘기가 많이 달라지겠지만.. "트론으로 흡수"에서 "트론과의 상생"으로 생각을 바꿀수 있을정도의 유연함을 가지고 있는지는 알수없음.
(지금까지의 행동을 보면 본인도 모르는듯..)

만약 SMT 출시까지 간다면 일시적이지만 "자금동결"을 했던 증인들에대한 시장의 평가는 어찌될지 모름. 그래도 여전히 같은 증인들이 순위를 유지하는것을 보면 최소한 그것을 보고싶은 마음은 (단순 호기심일수도 있지만..) 대다수의 유저들이 가지고있는거 같음. 중국식 문화에서 자란 저스틴은 이것을 이해할수 없으며 "트론으로 넘어간다"라는 트윗을 했을때 그것을 지지했던 유저들이 반도 안됐던것에 대해서도 꽤 충격을 먹었을것으로 보임. 그 충격으로 어디까지 생각이 바뀔지는 두고봐야겠지만, 현재 증인들이나 자유를 원하는 다수의 유저들은 이미 스탠스가 확실함.
(그 확실한 스탠스에 대해서 저스틴이 전쟁을할지 합리적으로 나올지가 관건..)

**추가:** 이 글을 쓴지 22시간이 지난 현재 소프트포크를 반대했던 증인은 10위에서 22위로 하락함.

Not really happy about what happened from the freezing stake point, but it is a stake that was ninja mined with steemit having a huge advantage to other miners. Then they said that they will not use it to vote or vote witnesses but it will be used for chain development. Looks like Ned forgot to tell that to Justin :) And then Justin said that there is no plans to migrate and swap (for now :) ) but all his social updates spoke different. I think it was at the time the softfork happened official Tron Foundation weekly report had this in it:

Someone in Tron Foundation should be fired for not reading the memo for 10 full days, or justin lied. I don't like liars so i hope someone will be fired (or maybe get a paycheck cut)

Yes ned is a filthy bastard, but I dont really care about the ninja mined stake itself. I have a bigger problem with justin not engaging with the community but instead turning himself into a legitimate threat. 

In maritime shipping, the captain has the right to jettison cargo if that means saving the ship, crew, and other property. In my book the biggest stakeholder talking about "migration" to another chain while leaving out 100% of the details is clearly an existential threat. 

If witnesses need to block certain transactions for the safety of the chain, they have the right to do so. And lets not forget theyre elected, and the majority of the community is behind them. 

Whether we should allow that kinda soft fork in a dpos or not, thats still an open question 😶

개별 커뮤니티즈와 smt가 생기면 해당 토큰별로 다른 형태의 "썩고"들이 생깁니다. 엔젤님을 배척하지 않는 그룹도 충분히 있을꺼고 (아마 kr관련된 여러 토큰도 나오겠죠), 그곳에서는 엔젤님이 고래가 되므로 크게 걱정안하셔도될껍니다.

네, 아직 유연함을 보이고 있는 저스틴이기 때문에 3월 미팅 전까지는 조용할꺼같에요.
핵심은 "저스틴이 커뮤니티즈에 SMT가 올라가게 내버려둘까"인데..

증인들은 전부터 확실하고 일관된 입장을 보여왔기 때문에 저스틴도 이해는 못하더라도 이를 충분히 인식할것으로 보입니다. 머리도 꽤 잘굴리는거 같은데.. 네드처럼 숨거나 섣불리 전쟁을할꺼같진 않아요. 하지만 약한 상대에 있어서는 가차없이 공격하던 성향을 보인건 있습니다. 반대로 증인들도 이걸 알고 협상에 들어갈것이기 때문에 어느정도 발란스가 맞을법도 합니다.

자금력을 앞세운 저스틴측이 시장에서 스팀을 긁어모은뒤 30 개의 투표권을 행사하면 현 증인들을 100프로 물갈이할 수도 있을거 같네요.

110억원정도의 STEEM을 시장에서 매입한다면 동결된 STEEM의 투표권 행사없이도 충분이 단독으로 30명의 증인을 세울수 있을거 같네요.

저스틴이 스팀 전체를 장악할정도의 양을 거래소에서 긁어모은다면 가격도 그만큼 오를것이기 때문에 일반 유저들 입장에서는 오히려 좋을수도 있을겁니다. 

장악을 한다 하더라도 이미 대부분의 증인들이나 유저들은 저스틴에 대한 신뢰가 거의 0이기 때문에 그때쯤이면 플랫폼을 떠날 가능성이 크고, 그렇게 되면 저스틴은 처음부터 노렸던 유저 흡수는 이룰수 없게됩니다. 저는 그가 무슨짓을 해도 1/3이상 흡수는 힘들다고 봅니다. 평소 공격적인 모습과는 달리 상당히 저자세로 나오는것도 여론이 안 좋은것을 인식했기 때문인거 같고요..

한국에서는 유난히 저스틴이나 "큰회사"에 대한 환상이 있는거 같긴한데, 저스틴은 이미 독재와 거짓말로 얼룩져있는 상태라 그것을 지우려면 제대로된 제품을 선보여서 증명해야하는데 이또한 쉽지 않아 보입니다.
