Hi, friends! Welcome back to another thrilling story from my time playing **Moonkarts**. In my previous post, I shared my journey through the **single-player** mode. This time, we’re leveling up to a more challenging mode—**multiplayer**. So, sit back, relax, and get ready for a tale filled with twists, turns, and plenty of excitement!
To dive into **multiplayer**, the first thing I did was click the button on the lower-right corner of the screen. Right away, I noticed something different from the **single-player** mode. What was it? **Fuel!** That’s right—fuel is a crucial resource for racing in this mode.
Curious about how to get fuel, I went straight to the main menu. Turns out, there are two ways to obtain it:
1. **Staking your unused cards**. This is a simple option if you have extra cards lying around.
2. **Trading or requesting fuel from other players**. This is like an energy exchange between friends, but honestly, I haven’t tried it yet.
Since I had a few idle cards, I decided to go with staking. How long would it take to accumulate fuel? I wasn’t sure, so I planned to check back later to see my progress.
Here’s the good news: you can still race in **multiplayer** even if you don’t have fuel. The bad news? **Any rewards you find on the track can’t be claimed.** It’s basically a race for practice or experience. Since my fuel wasn’t ready yet, I decided to give it a go without it.
Once I entered the **multiplayer** menu, I clicked the option to find an opponent. Turns out, it wasn’t as quick as I expected. Maybe because there aren’t that many players yet, I had to wait about **2 minutes and 40 seconds** before finally being matched.
An interesting detail about this mode is that there are no bots or AI to fill in for players. If no one is available, you simply have to wait. Oh, and the maximum number of players per race is **6**.
After waiting patiently, the race finally began! My first opponent was a player named **paolinetta**. The challenge? Complete **3 laps** on a tricky track.
As expected, I fell behind right from the start. My car’s top speed was only **130 mph**, making it tough to compete against **paolinetta**, who seemed to have a high-performance vehicle with superior speed, handling, and acceleration.
But hey, I started to find my rhythm! While my car’s handling still needed improvement, I began to get the hang of the controls and memorized some of the track’s sharp turns. This really helped me avoid getting stuck in those frustrating corners (if you’ve played, you know the pain!).
The most epic yet painful moment? Watching enemy speed past me effortlessly. It felt like being overtaken by a crush, except this was on a racetrack.
In the end, I managed to complete all 3 laps, though my time was significantly slower than my opponent’s. As expected, I didn’t collect any **colony rewards** scattered across the track because, well, no fuel.
But that’s okay. For me, this race was a valuable learning experience. It gave me a clear goal: to improve my performance and, of course, build a better collection of **cards**. Facing an opponent like **paolinetta** motivated me to keep practicing and improving.
And that’s my story of playing the **multiplayer** mode in **Moonkarts**. Even though the results weren’t perfect, I’m happy to have learned so much from this race. I also realized the importance of strategies like staking cards for fuel and honing my racing skills.
