Hi all, welcome to my post about the Splinterlands card battle.
Today I will share the fight I had with Haunted Spider. This is the theme for this week's Battle Challenge of Splinterlands. There are still 3 days left to join this challenge.

The Haunted Spider is a common monster of the death type. This monster uses ranged attacks. The max level is 10 with 505 combined cards. Haunted Spider gains the poison ability at level 4. Beginners can play this card in battles with minimal mana if they haven't leveled it up to level 4. Because the ranged attack's damage is 2 points & it only costs 3 points of mana.

With the ability to deliver poison, this is an advantage. Because if the enemy receives a poison attack, the number of health points will continue to decrease every round. For this card, I used it at level 1, which doesn't have the poison ability yet. The attack power of two attack ranged is extremely useful.
However, once the level has been raised to level 4 or higher, this card may be a mainstay card that overwhelms the opponent monsters line-up. This is an advantage with the capacity to administer poison. Because if the enemy is poisoned, the amount of health points will continue to drop with each round. I used this card at level 1, which does not yet have the poison ability.

Mana used in this battle is 26 points with a special rule: Spreading Fury. All monsters have the enrage ability. With that special rule, the battle usually won't be predictable. Because every time it is attacked, there is an increase in the value of the monster's stats.

The battle begins with an additional bonus from the summoner to all monsters in the battle line.
For the ZINTAR MORTALIS that I use, this reduces the enemy's melee attack power by one point. But with the SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT's Inspire ability, the enemy's melee attack points return to normal. The UNDEAD PRIEST deals with one health reduction to all enemy monsters. Meanwhile, TYRUS PALADIUM gives one shield point to all monsters on the his monster deck.
After receiving a summoner bonus, all monsters in the battle area receive a battle bonus, which is the enrage ability.
In round 1, all my monster attacks are centered on the SHIELDEARER. After all the monsters finished attacking, I can only reduce SHIELDEARER's shield points. His health points are then restored by the DIVINE HEALER. Meanwhile, on the side of my monster line, MANTOID received a barrage of attacks. because the position at the back faces two enemy monsters with sneak abilities. In this round, no monsters have been eliminated from the battle.

My assault pattern remained focused on one target in the second round. The SHIELDEARER can no longer be saved by the DIVINE HEALER due to the onslaught of numerous monsters. SHIELDBEARER was eliminated & eventually replaced by SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT. While the MANTOID in this round is on the verge of death with only one health point remaining.
In the third round, with the loss of the Taunt ability. DEATH ELEMENTAL's attack instantly hit the DIVINE HEALER. As well as the TWISTED JESTER attack which damages the DIVINE HEALER's shield. MANTOID was finally eliminated in this round. This makes HAUNTED SPIDER the next target of the enemy sneak team. SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT in this round is still receiving healing assistance from DIVINE HEALER.

In the fourth round, I had to give up the departure of the HAUNTED SPIDER. While on the enemy side, I managed to get rid of the DIVINE HEALER. That means the SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT will no longer get healing and will become vulnerable to being knocked out. However, due to the addition of stats due to the Rage ability, SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT's speed points are 6 points. It makes the melee attack HAUNTED SPIRIT miss many times.

In the fifth round, SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT could no longer hold out. He was knocked out due to an attack from TWISTED JESTER. The death of SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT removes the inspire bonus. Enemy melee attack points are reduced by 1 point. Now enemy monsters are just waiting for death in the next round.

I won the battle in the sixth round by leaving four monsters on my monster lineup deck. This victory boosted my rating by 19 points, giving me a total of 3,319 DEC.

In this battle, I gain an advantage by placing more monsters compared to the number of enemy monsters. It's because I used a monster with a small amount of mana. One of them is the HAUNTED SPIDER. And combined with HAUNTED SPIRIT's healing ability and two monsters with sniping abilities,
The enemy relies on a concentrated attack on the SHIELDEARER in hopes of getting healing assistance from the DIVINE HEALER. but still outnumbered by the number of monsters I have.
The HAUNTED SPIDER in this fight does not contribute much because it does not yet have the ability to poison. But the HAUNTED SPIDER is capable of dealing heavy damage to enemies in the vanguard.
The HAUNTED SPIDER could not be present at the end of the victory because it was eliminated in the early rounds.
This victory was also greatly helped by the choice of the type of summoner I chose. Because the melee attack point deduction bonus makes the damage to my monsters is reduce.
**DID MY STRATEGY WORK?**
For this battle, the strategy using HAUNTED SPIDER worked. The addition of one monster with the use of a little mana is able to make the number of my troops greater than the enemy. So the number of attacks per round can be greater.
