Quando eu aprendi a escrever
Eu realmente não aprendi a escrever até chegar à faculdade. Ah, claro, eu escrevi muito eventos: ensaios, contos, tratamentos, peças de teatro, esquetes, etc. Mas minha escrita, em geral, fedia. Se você me perguntasse então, eu provavelmente teria dito exatamente o oposto. Mas…

… Eu não sabia de nada.

Principalmente porque ninguém me disse: "Ei, sua escrita: é uma droga." Em vez disso, meus professores, no colégio, pensaram que eu era um escritor muito espirituoso. Imaginativo, ousado, um pouco selvagem (talvez insanamente deprimido) e propenso a perder o meu caminho na busca da "excelência".

Naquela época, quando escrevi, escrevi para preencher uma página. E eu sabia como preenchê-lo. Uma teia emaranhada de palavras com muito pouca substância. Eu também escrevi para preencher o tempo. Preencha-o com algo que não seja o vazio imediato e o nada que eu senti no colégio.

Outras crianças tiveram o problema oposto. Eles poderiam se concentrar no assunto, mas sua escrita era mais seca do que serragem, com tanta habilidade para ele quanto um globo (eu acho que deveria ser um planeta ... talvez Mercúrio). Apesar de suas habilidades de escrita inepta, a maioria foi recompensada simplesmente pelos méritos de acertar os "fatos". Algo que enfureceu minha sensibilidade por muitos e muitos anos.

Independentemente das minhas frustrações, das quais houve várias (afinal, é o Ensino Médio), consegui sair do outro lado com alguns inchaços, contusões, um boné e um vestido. Ah, e um pedaço de papel foi impresso, provavelmente, na véspera da formatura em uma fábrica que apenas imprime nomes em pedaços de papel reciclado de quatro camadas.

Foi só quando cheguei à faculdade que alguém, meu primeiro professor de redação real ... se você pode acreditar, me disse algo que eu nunca, jamais esquecerei.
