The Cardano Network is now 100% fully decentralized for block production. Next?

The full decentralization process for block generation, which the Cardano team has been working on for 7 months, has been successfully completed. Block generation on the Cardano network is now 100% decentralized.

IOHK said that the entire block generation of the network is now in the hands of 2,3000 stakes pool operators (SPO). All blocks on the network will now be produced by the community of staking pool operators (SPOs).

The smooth completion on time, as promised, shows how hard the team works. The Cardano team has been working on decentralization since July 2020. During the 7 months of hard work, updates and hard forks were successful, and the Cardano network became decentralized. The Cardano team has taken a giant leap forward in decentralization. This is a completely new financial ecosystem. One of the three steps of decentralization is complete. Next steps are the implementation of the peer-to-peer (P2P) network and governance.

After these developments, IOHK announced a new round of community stake pool delegation. A very important step for many communities; Quite encouraging given the time and costs.

Stake pools can apply for delegation from today; applications will close for this cohort at midnight UTC on Thursday 15th April. We will then review all the applications and announce which SPOs will receive delegation, which will be made in early May. We look forward to your applications.

The Cardano (ADA) team continues to work without slowing down. We will see new updates and innovations in the coming months.
