**Monsters with the Void Ability** reduce damage from **Magic Attacks** so I would never hesitate to use **Void Ability** against **Magic Attack Monsters**. There are **35 Cards** with the **Void Ability** in **Splinterlands**, two of which are **Summoners**. If we count **Alpha** and **Beta** **Cards** separately, there are 40 cards with the **Void Ability**.

I have **13 cards** with the **Void Ability** in my deck and I can't wait to add the others to my deck. By the way, I would like to say that those who have more health and have a better chance of avoiding enemy attacks are more effective in battles in my opinion. I would also like to point out that my favorite Monster card with the **Void Ability** is **Djinn Oshannus**. Indeed, **Djinn Oshannus** is a very powerful magician with very powerful abilities.

Additionally, the **Void Ability** and **Magic Reflect Ability** combined are much more effective against **Magic Attack Monsters**. There are 9 Monster cards in Splinterlands that have both the **Void Ability** and the **Magic Reflect Ability**. Unfortunately, I don't have a card that has both abilities. I'm planning to buying the **level 5 Unicorn Mustang** and the **level 5 Prismatic Energy** Cards soon, as their health is high and the prices is reasonable for me. I believe with **Unicorn Mustang** and **Prismatic Energy** my deck will become much more powerful against **Magic Attack Monsters**.

- **Void Ability** : Reduced damage from Magic attacks.
- **Magic Reflect** : When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker.

If I feel that the opposing player will prefer Magic Attack Monsters, I will never hesitate to use Monsters with the Void Ability. Also, in battles with the **Wands Out ruleset** and the **Keep Your Distance ruleset**, I add Monsters with the **Void Ability** without hesitation to the team. Although Ranged Attack Monsters can be used in battles with the Keep Your Distance ruleset, I see that most players prefer Magic Attack Monsters more.

- **Wands Out** : Only Monsters with Magic attack may be used in battles.
- **Keep Your Distance** : Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.

In short, **Monsters with the Void Ability** are very effective against **Magic Attack Monsters** and I would like to say that they can be much more effective when used with a good strategy. Also, when a portion of their health is restored with **Tank Heal Ability** or **Triage Ability**, it can be incredibly difficult to destroy them with **Magic Attacks**. That's why I take care to use Monsters with Tank Heal Ability or Triage Ability in such battles.

- **Tank Heal Ability** : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.
- **Triage Ability** : Heals the friendly back-line Monster that has taken the most damage.

- **Keep Your Distance Ruleset**: Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.
- **Explosive Weaponry Ruleset**: All Monsters have the Blast ability.
- Only Water, Earth, Life, Death and Dragon Units can be used
- **Mana Cap** : 99

**Blast Ability** : Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

**MY STRATEGY**

According to the battle ruleset, only Monsters with **Ranged Attacks** and **Magic Attacks** could be used in this battle, and all monsters would have the **Blast Ability**. After reviewing the last 5 battles of the opposing player and considering that the battle costs 99 mana, I guessed that the opposing player would use Magic Attack Monsters. Since I thought it would be wiser to use Magic attack monsters in this battle, I decided to use Magic Attack Monsters as well. I was going to prefer the **Water Unit** since my Magic attack monster cards are stronger in the **Water Unit**,  I also preferred **Quix the Devious** as the **Summoner** because I wanted to use my **Dragon cards** as well.


Since all Monsters in this battle will have **Blast Ability**, I put Monsters with **Void Ability** in the first two positions. Since **Djinn Oshannus** also has the **Phase Ability**, I put it in the first position. **Baakjira** has no attack power and I put **Berix Snakeye** with the **Weapons Training Ability** in third position to gain it attack power. It was also a huge advantage that **Berix Snakeye** also had the **Void Armor Ability**. I put **Nerissa Tridawn** in fourth position, which can attack targets quite powerfully. I knew that **Tank Heal Ability** would be very useful in such a battle and I put **Merdaali Guardian** with **Tank Heal Ability** in fifth position. In such battles, the **Scattershot Ability** can be very effective to destroy the opposing team's backline, so I put **Chaos Dragon** with the **Scattershot Ability** in the last position. I believed that this way I would have a better chance of winning this battle.

**Triage Ability** can also be very useful in such battles, but when I thought that the battle was 99 mana, I decided that this ability would not provide much advantage in this battle. So I thought a monster with high health and attack power would be more useful.

**Djinn Oshannus** has the **Void Ability** and the **Phase Ability** at level 2 and attacks the target with **Magic Attacks**. I put **Djinn Oshannus** in first position.

- **Void Ability** : Reduced damage from Magic attacks.
- **Phase Ability** : Magic attacks can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks).

**Baakjira** has the **Void Ability**, the **Slow Ability** and the **Strengthen Ability** at level 2. I put **Baakjira** in second position.

- **Slow Ability** : Reduces the Speed of all enemy Monsters.

**Position 3: BERIX SNAKEYE**

**Berix Snakeye** has the **Weapons Training Ability** and the **Void Armor Ability** at level 1 and attacks the target with **Ranged Attacks**. I put **Berix Snakeye** in third position.

- **Weapons Training Ability** : Adjacent Monsters gain half this Monster's attack if they have no attack themselves.
- **Void Armor Ability** : Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health.

**Position 4: NERISSA TRIDAWN**

**Nerissa Tridawn** does not have any abilities, but is a monster that can attack the target powerfully. I put **Nerissa Tridawn** in fourth position.

**Position 5: MERDAALI GUARDIAN**

**Merdaali Guardian** has the **Tank Heal Ability** from level 1. **Merdaali Guardian** doesn't have attack power but I thought **Tank Heal Ability** would be very useful to the team in this battle so I added it to the team and put **Merdaali Guardian** in fifth position.

- **Tank Heal Ability** : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.

**Position 6: CHAOS DRAGON**

**Chaos Dragon** has the **Flying Ability**, the **Scattershot Ability**, and the **Blast Ability** at level 2 and attacks the target with **Magic Attacks**. **Chaos Dragon** can be very effective in such battles, so I added it to the team and put it in the last position.

- **Flying Ability** : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
- **Scattershot Ability** : Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target.
- **Blast Ability** : Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also very good and it was wise to choose **STHISPA** as the **Summoner** in a battle like this because **STHISPA** gives **Phase Ability** to all friendly monsters. If I had this card in my deck, I would choose Sthispa as the Summoner in this battle without hesitation. Also, I'm not surprised that we chose similar cards with the opposing player because these cards can be very effective in such battles.

**Round 1**

Putting Monsters with the Void Ability in the first two positions in this battle and reducing the opposing team's speed by -2 gave my team a huge advantage in this battle. The opposing team missed many attacks and the enemy's attacks were not very effective in the first round. But my team's attacks were quite effective and they never missed an attack, which clearly shows how important speed is in this type of battle.

**Round 2**

The opposing team was pretty helpless in the face of my team's effective attacks, and in the second round, two monsters from the opposing team were destroyed while all the monsters were still alive in my team. It was also remarkable that the health of the monsters on my team was still quite high.

**Round 3**

In the third round, the health of the monsters on the opposing team was seriously reduced, and Djinn Oshannus' strong defense and regaining some of its health in each round left the opposing team very helpless. In the third round, another monster from the opposing team was destroyed.

**Round 4**

There were 3 monsters with the Flying Ability left in the opposing team, and since they had Phase Ability, it wouldn't be easy to destroy them, but they weren't powerful enough to destroy Djinn Oshannus and Baakjira. Two more monsters from the opposing team were destroyed by my team's powerful attack, and at the end of the fourth round, only one monster remained on the opposing team.

**Round 5**

In the fifth round, only the Phantom of the Abyss remained on the opposing team and it had only 1 health, so it wasn't hard to destroy it.

Even though the battle had 99 mana, it only lasted 5 rounds,  it was quite remarkable that at the end of the battle, all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, while all the monsters in my team were still alive and their health was still high, which showed that my strategy was working well. **Magic Attack Monsters** are monsters that can be very effective in battles and the above battle clearly shows how effective **Void Ability** is against **Magic Attack Monsters** so I would love to have more **Cards with Void Ability**. I plan to add more **Cards with Void Ability** to my deck in the future, so my deck will become more powerful against **Magic Attack Monsters**. Also, restoring a portion of their health in battles works very well, so I love **Tank Heal Ability** and **Triage Ability** too.
