Great hunt I'm thinking of using this recorder paired with a lav as a body mic and then monitor the audio via my cell phone. Do you know if once the 'hold' is placed on the recorder the levels can still be adjusted on your phone? Or is it once hold is locked, no settings can be adjusted at all.

Time to upgrade my sound recording equipment...Been waiting for a new Sony for a long time. I also like Zoom, and the recording is arguably as good, but the built quality is not that great, and the mics tend to break-off very easily. Another winner for Sony. Cheers.

How can I avoid unwanted mic touching sounds while recording? I started doing field recording and when ever I hold the recorder in my hands and move a finger slightly I get that annoying sound. How do you hold a recorder properly? Thank you so much.
