**Hola estimados Hivers...**
Hoy voy a contarles sobre un viejo músico que hizo historia tocando el "Quinto" en las "rumbas" y "cajones espirituales" de La Habana. Tumbador y bongosero de gran renombre entre los músicos cubanos, timbero de los buenos, mítico rumbero de los de "Talla y Fama", devoto practicante de la secta secreta Abakkua, y sobre todo un amigo muy querido quien tristemente ya hace algunos años no nos acompaña en este plano... se trata de mi querido Maestro Angelito "El Chivo".

Siempre me contaba historias de rumberos famosos con los que había alternado en su juventud cuando trataba con su enorme paciencia; de trasmitirme el ancestral sentimiento y misterio de los golpes del "Quinto" en la rumba. Angelito siempre hablaba con una sonrisa pícara y contagiosa que era capaz de arreglarle el día a cualquiera; 
"No te fajes con el tambor, Asere... no te pongas tenso, relájate; éntrale suave, si lo tratas con cariño, el solito te habla... y te muestra su espíritu". 

Yo siempre trato de explicarle esto a los que empiezan en el hermoso y difícil arte de dominar la técnica de "Las Tumbadoras" que; aunque este sea un instrumento que para sacarle el sonido se requiere aparentemente mucha fuerza y energía, 
"La verdad verdadera",
"el pollo del arroz con pollo" aunque de "primera y pata" no lo vean, radica precisamente... en la relajación -Jajajajajajaja-. 

 Las Tumbadoras o más conocidas en el mundo como "Congas" debido a un término comercial que se hizo tendencia por encima del nombre original, es una creación del importante percusionista cubano Carlos "Patato" Valdez (Tumbador del mítico "Conjunto Casino"), que al ponerle las exitosas y definitivas "llaves de tensión" a los tradicionales "tambores de candela" de procedencia africana y hacerle algunas modificaciones en el diseño, realizó la más importante de todas sus creaciones..."La Tumbadora".

 Aquí sucedió con esto; algo parecido a cuando le cambiaron el nombre al "Son cubano" y lo vendieron como "Salsa", aprovechando el ostracismo de Cuba a partir de 1960 -que había sido hasta entonces a todas luces; faro y guía de la música en Latinoamérica- excluyéndonos de todos los mercados musicales y provocando como era de esperarse..."un bache" enorme (que ahora se puede apreciar) en nuestra cultura.

Y después de esta necesaria aclaración, volviendo a Angelito, recuerdo con mucho agradecimiento y cariño como nos divertíamos en las clases que aparte de ser muy instructivas e interesantes, eran muy amenas y cuajadas de anécdotas increíbles de sus múltiples andanzas en las grandes orquestas desde finales de la década del 70 hasta su retiro oficial en el 2000. Recuerdo como me decía riéndose a carcajadas – Es que no me dejan retirarme, a cada rato me vienen a buscar cuando se les traba la pita con estos jovencitos de ahora en los estudios de grabaciones -Jajajajajajaja-. 

Grande entre los grandes mi amigo y Maestro Angelito "El Chivo" otro de los tantos músicos cubanos olvidados tristemente en el tiempo. Con una vida musical superintensa que incluía una trayectoria brillante donde quiera que sonara un cajón o un tambor. Lo que le hizo ganarse el respeto entre los más grandes rumberos y tumbadores de su generación, y desgraciadamente un infarto masivo le jugó una mala pasada de la que no se pudo recuperar. Hoy quiero rendirle este modesto y merecido homenaje por su amistad, enseñanzas y apoyo incondicional. 
Que el Universo me lo bendiga mucho y que la luz que supo irradiar sea siempre con él.

Siempre aprendo mucho contigo, además de que disfruto conocer a todos los grandes músicos que nos presentas y estoy segura que en el plano donde están, siguen sacándole chispas al instrumento. Angelito, el Chivo, no debe ser la excepción. 

Recordé ahora eso que dice... Chivo que rompe tambó con su pellejo paga... no viene al caso, pero bueno, el gran Bola de Nieve me ha venido a visitar parece.
