 As summer begins to finally take fruition, way up here in Wisconsin, the green thumb is back. It's back in many ways for us, but one thing we decided to do this summer was get into microgreens. With that said, we plunked down $10 USD for a starter set at a fundraiser this past weekend. Once home, Hattie and I started to get at it and initiate the first microgreen project our family has engaged in.  The instructions were easy enough for even me to follow! We put the two cups of Earth in the tray first :  <br>  We then sprinkled the kale seeds on top of the soil:  <br>  We then added additional earth on top of the seeds and lightly watered:  Then covered with a damp cloth:  I then set it near a window facing north:  There it is...the start to our first microgreen project! We plan to keep the soil and cloth moist, per the instructions, until the seeds begin to grow. Then it is on to phase II of the project...don't worry, I hope to keep up on the project on #ecotrain! More importantly, I am excited to throw these kale greens on a salad. I've wanted to do microgreens for a long time...finally (finally), we're in the game here That's it for this post; stay tuned for updates as green life slowly begins. With some luck, we'll get into a good habit with these, and keep the greens flowing for our family.
