<div class="text-justify"> Good day. I hope you are having a great time on your end. My most recent post was about what mindfulness actually is. It was a brief article. In this write-up, I will be discussing some of the ways we can practice mindfulness to increase our productivity and excellence in life. I have personally tried most of the points highlighted and I really have benefited from them as expected. For all these practices highlighted below, you don't need to register for any yoga class or purchase anything for that. <center>  <sub> [Image source](https://mistag.com/mindfulness-based-therapy/) </sub> </center> ### Ways to practice mindfulness -------- **Mindful practices when one wakes up in the morning:** How you start your day has a very strong impact on your mental health throughout the whole day. Hence, it has to be a well-planned routine when you wake up every morning. In the first place, relax yourself on your bed or any other place in your home in a unified posture for some time, then close your eyes. You then have to connect sensation to your whole body. Then, take some nourishing breaths by breathing in through your nose and breathing out through your mouth. Do this for 3-5 breaths. You will notice your breaths composing in a unified rhythm gradually. The next set of actions involves questioning your inner self about the plans for the day and then settling with the most priotized ones as your intentions to carry them out during the day. The last but important morning mindfulness routine is to make sure you check in with yourself during the day and always examine yourself with regard to compliance with the intentions you have set for the day. **Mindfulness during meal time/eating:** Eating is one of the inevitable things we can barely live a day without, unless you are fasting. Hence, it's always good to practice mindfulness during eating. In the first place, make sure you love the food. For a few minutes before your meal, make sure you have about 8-10 successful deep breaths before eating. This means that you shouldn't rush to eat the food, you have to calm down for smooth passage of the food. Listen carefully to your own body as you are eating. Make sure you eat according to your hunger, and the manner in which you eat should be peaceful. **Rewiring the brain:** This is a very important mindfulness practice. Our brains get stronger as we activate them to slow down. Experts have outlined so many practices to rewire the brain that anyone can try. For instance, activating the brain for only what you are currently doing or the one important thing you intend to do will help slow down the brain. You then have to regularly refresh your triggers. Regular exercise and workouts will also help keep the brain healthy. Hence, you can consider involving yourself in various exercises or workouts both physically and mentally to freshen up your body and brain. There are so many ways people practice mindfulness. This concept of "mindfulness" is something new to me, and that was the reason that brought me to see your post, wow I loved this you mention regarding "make sure to check in with yourself during the day and always examine yourself regarding the fulfillment of the intentions you have set for the day", somehow this is something that many of us fail to do, but you are right we should be stricter in fulfilling our own activities.
