The long anticipated and awaited rainfall has finally come and because of it, joy and smiles were seen evidently on the faces of individuals in the community that am currently working in. It's been more than a week now since the last rainfall that made alot of farmers in this community to rush and farm, planting seedlings of crop they want to grow and since then there hasn't been rainfall again making the crops that was planted to change colour due to shortage of water and infestation of insects as it comes out fresh from the soil.

The funny thing about this scenario is that this community was the only community that is facing this situation of lack of rainfall around this axis, because the neighbouring communities had experience rainfall 4 separate days within one week. In the whole week of the rain drought, dark clouds were seen in the sky as if it will rain heavily but no single drop was seen and let everyone baffled about what was going on and why there still was no rain even though other places experienced rainfall and then yesterday suddenly it rained.

Dark clouds gathered as usual covering some part of the sky indicating that rain was on its way, but since we have seen such scenario for some couple of days and still there was nothing we continued our work, though still cautious of the unexpected. As the work was still ongoing, the rain started falling as droplets, there and then we knew this rain will definitely come this time around so we geared up to leave the site immediately before the rain stops us on our way out which will put us in a difficult situation 

Unfortunately while rushing to move out from the site, taking not up to five minutes as the droplets began, the rain descended heavily without holding back like an angry boss finally getting an outlet to loosen his frustration. Yesterday's rainfall was unprecedented since the first rain this year in this site and alot of farmers were really overjoyed that some did not even go to church today but decided to go to farm just incase of uncertainty.

Yesterday's work on my end was cut short and left unfinished due to the rainfall causing some setbacks in the schedule of work but it also served as a blessing to the hardworking farmers who were anticipating it and it finally came.
