With the use of the internet and social media, FOMO has more opportunities to be present, because we can see what others are saying or sharing on social media.

In the particular case of cryptocurrencies, we can check the markets, we read Twitter, we see the excitement of the holders of some coin when it goes up, and more. All these actions can make you feel that you are missing out on something, that you are being left behind or out of a seemingly positive situation. 

FOMO can generate anxiety, stress, and depression; but when it comes to digital assets it can even lead you to make bad decisions and lose part of your capital, so it is suggested to keep focused on your goals, take care of your risk margins, and avoid making compulsive purchases. 

In my case, I can not deny that I have not felt FOMO, if it has happened to me it is a very strange feeling of wanting to have a large portfolio of crypto assets and especially if they are increasing, but calm is necessary. On the other hand, there are projects that can be very striking and can involve a profit in the long term, the secret is to know how to analyze where to bet and where not.

### Time will give the results

Today there are so many projects that promise so many things that it can be confusing, especially because many of those things they promise already exist, but also there are so many new people in the ecosystem and there is a very wide capitalization and marketing competition, where the boldest, fastest and most useful projects have the most attention.

## El FOMO de las altcoins

Las altcoins o monedas alternativas están teniendo auge, comportamiento positivo en el mercado y están llamando la atención  de muchas personas, algunos inspirados por el FOMO.

Con el uso del internet y las redes sociales el FOMO tiene mas oportunidad de estar presente porque podemos ver lo que los demás están diciendo o compartiendo en los medios sociales.

En el caso particular de las criptomonedas podemos consultar los mercados, leemos el twitter, vemos la emoción de los tenedores de alguna moneda cuando sube, y más. Todas estas acciones pueden hacerte sentir que te estas perdiendo de algo, que estas quedando atrás o fuera de una situación aparentemente positiva. 

El FOMO pude generar ansiedad, estrés y depresión; pero cuando de trata de activos digitales incluso puede llevarte a tomar malas decisiones y perder parte de tu capital, por lo que se sugiere mantener el enfoque en tus metas, cuidar tus márgenes de riesgo, y evitar hacer compras compulsivas. 

En mi caso, no puedo negar que no he sentido FOMO, si me ha pasado es una sensación muy extraña de querer tener un amplio portafolio de criptoactivos y sobre todos si están aumentando, pero la calma es necesaria. Por otro lado hay proyectos que si pueden ser muy llamativos y pueden implicar un beneficio a largo plazo, el secreto está en saber analizar donde apostar y donde no.

### El tiempo dará los resultados

Hoy día hay tantos proyectos que prometen tantas cosas que puede ser confuso, sobre todo porque muchas de esas cosas que prometen ya existen, pero además hay tantas persona nuevas en el ecosistema y hay una competencia de capitalización y marketing muy amplia, donde los proyectos más audaces, veloces y útiles tienen la mayor atención. 

El objetivo de este post es solo para reflexionar.
