A friend of mine used to have a popular quote he normally said during our college years; "you can make a choice to avoid an action but you cannot avoid the outcome that will follow avoiding the action". That is to say that you may decide not to perform an action but it also carries a consequence that you will bear. Things do not happen by not doing anything. They only happen when you have put in action towards that course.

The silence that someone keeps where he has to take action is the reason many things go wrong. Just like it is a popular saying that "when good people choose inaction in the face of evil, the evil deeds will continue". The only thing that is needed for negative occurrence to continue is when the people that are meant to bring positive actions choose to be inactive. Remember this particular law of motion by Newton:

> A body will continue to rest until a force is acted on it

To create a change, you must accept that you need to put in actions. No one wins a racing competition from the bench. If he must be crowned the winner, then he must participate in the race (this is called action). If he refused to act when others are acting, then the prize will elude him. The truth is, refusing to work out your victory by yourself is to welcome failure in disguise. Just like it is popularly said that:

> Failing to plan is indirect planning to fail

You may have a choice, as a freewill given to you, to act or not to act. However, your choices will always have consequences attached to them, of which you will not have choice but to welcome them. Some people normally get scared of taking risks, maybe because of not knowing what the results will be. Well, they need to know that even when you have not taken any risk, you are still at risk. So why don't you take it and then brace for the impact? It is worthy to note that it is more dignifying to fail while doing something that not to do anything at all and claim to have succeeded at it.

Imagine a farmer that decides to pass through the planting season in an inactive state without planting anything. Just to let you know, when a zero input is multiplied by anything, it will still give a zero output. In the harvesting season, there will be no harvest for him. If you want an output, then there is a need for an input.

People should understand that inaction is also a form of action and for every action that goes forth, reactions and results follow. So know when and how to either place your actions and inactions.
