Having A Good Character
<div class="text-justify">

Nothing defines one like their character. Someone may look nice and may even carry some outwards beauty, but all these do not matter as much as their character. Of course, what is seen on the outside - the beauty, will obviously fade with the passage of time. However, your character is what forms the real you and it will stick around for a while. A good character adds up to someone's beauty while a bad character subtracts from it.

Your beauty may get you through certain places, but for you to be sustained in those places, you will need more than beauty; you will need character. If people will put the kind of attention they give to making up their facial beauty to making up their character, they will discover how beautiful the world can be. Focusing only on the outwards beauty without paying attention to the beauty of the character is like majoring on the minor.

People may flirt with you because of your outward beauty, they may also make you acquaintance. However, when they want to take you serious or for their friendship to be sustained, they will look beyond the physical beauty. If you find yourself losing more friends than you make, it is not time to question your friends but to question your own character. You will agree with me that birds do not make their next in a flaming fire. In the same way, if your character is not friendly, then you will not be able to retain friendship. So work on your character.

The truth is, your character is not manufactured at the time of crisis, it is only expressed and exhibited. So how you act or react is not a function of the arising situation but a direct function of who you are. You should not wait until when a precedence has been set by someone else's acts of niceness before you become nice. Your niceness should be your lifestyle and this will help build up your character. Everyone is given the propensity of both the good character and the flip side, but it is the side that you consciously build that you will consolidate upon.

The person that you see as having a good character is not specially gifted with the good character but it is a choice that they had to make to become of a good character. Similarly, the person that has a crooked character also made it as a choice. If this is the case, then you have to make a choice of the kind of character that you will consolidate upon.

In order to improve your character adequately, you should be able to put these under subjection: The first one is the mouth. People's character can be reflected in the way they speak. Just by the words of the mouth, someone can crash what they have spent a considerable amount of time to build. This is why, if you want to speak, you should first consider the potential effect of what you want to say will have.

Another aspect to work on is your action and your reaction. How you react to someone is not a function of what the person did but a function of your own personality. You should always allow your brain to think first before your reaction comes in.
