No matter how good you are to people, the truth is, everyone cannot like you. Someone can just hate you without reason or for the reason that you are simply better than them. This is why you should not allow the opinion of others to bother you. After all, everyone is given a free will to use their opinion and they are using their own.

The truth is, if no one talks ill about you and if no one tries to oppose you, then you are not making a positive motion and you are not occupying an enviable position. People's opposition is a very strong indication that you have a position that they envy. However, if you begin to mind their opposition, then you stand the risk of losing your position.

Distraction starts when you begin to give attention to everything everyone has to say about you. You came to this world individually and you have a specific purpose, so you should get busy pursuing after your purpose and refuse to be distracted.

No doubt, some people's honest opinion about you may help you achieve something good but your mind needs to be evolved and mature enough to know when the opinion is true or compromised. Always remember that some stones may be glittery but it does not make you to call them gold. In the same way, some opinions may sound good but it does not mean you should not prove their validity first.

As you grow and become more mature, you will understand that there are ways to welcome people's opinions and ideas about you without finally agreeing to them. It is your absolute prerogative to either agree or not, so learn how to use it at your discretion. When people are constantly opposing you, it is only logical to think that they already see what you don't and they do not want you to get there, so don't be discouraged - keep making moves.

Opposition is part of what makes people stronger. Just like the heat from the furnace will normally make the clay vessel stronger and tougher, the pressures from opposition will make you tougher and stronger. The truth is, the situation may not be softer but you will grow stronger to withstand it, but that is only if you do not allow the opposition to crack you open.
