Anyone that will ever tell you that it will be very easy to achieve that big dream of yours is not being sincere and honest with you, but the good thing here is, it will be worth the effort and the time you've put in when you finally achieve it - only if you can keep your hopes alive.

Having hope and faith in your dream is the prerequisite to fulfilling the dream. However, hope and faith will seem to be working perfecting well when every plan is falling into place, but when things become tough, faith may seem to be a little difficult. Believe me, this point is when you actually need your 100% hopes and faith.

The prize in view determines the level of commitment you are able to give. Having big dreams has the ability to stir up the inert fighting spirit in the life of someone. As a matter of fact, if your dreams have not gotten to the point where they scare you, then I might just tell you that they are not big enough.

Sometimes, you just have to rise through the tempest and the storms. It takes maturity for you to recognize and admit what you cannot change. You may not have the ability to stop the storm or to control the wind, but you have the ability to direct and manage your sail.

Big dreams will definitely attract stronger opposition. Firstly, opposition from within you, then opposition from external source. If you are able to ward off the opposition within, then you can attack the opposition that will come from outside. A particular Nigerian adage expresses this:

> Ihe n'ata ji bi n'ime ji [Nigerian adage]

This means that what attacks something is majorly from within. In the same way, the strongest opposition that anyone can have is the one the comes from within - this is the one that breeds fear, and fear is the number one enemy that fight against the fulfilment of any dream.

Whether you believe it or not, you do not have any choice if storms will come or not. The only choice you have is to ride on them to your desired dream. Remember this; the appreciation of light only comes inside thick darkness.
