<div class="text-justify"> Many of us have invested in one form of business or the other with the hope of getting returns from it. More so, as the days go by, new business opportunities spring up and many people will yet commit their funds in them and the process continues. However, one thing to know is that a lot of factors influence our choice of investment and can go a long way to prompt us to invest. WHAT to invest in This is very important and you need to answer this particular question before you can go ahead with any investment. It does not matter if someone else is doing something else, but will it also be suitable for you? There are many investment opportunities that one can take but it is worthy to note that all of them may not be suitable for you. You have to know the one you have zeal and passion to undertake, or the one you are already knowledgeable about, or the one that appeals to your investment acumen the most, etc. In online investment for example, someone may decide to invest in forex and someone else may go for stock, or even cryptocurrency, etc, talk more of offline investment. It does not stop at having the money to invest but investing rightly is what brings the gain. If a farmer goes to a farmland, he needs to ask himself if he wants to plant food crops or cash crops, then he can also go further to select the subcategories of either of the crops he wants to plant. This is so he will be specific with his options, and not just planting randomly without planning. In the same way, while planning for investment, the "what" question should be the first to be answered. ### 2. WHEN to invest This talks about the appropriate timing in investment. I normally use the crypto space for analysis when I talk about the right time to invest. It does not stop at finding the right coin to invest in but there is a time that you you will invest in, it will not yield up to par. It may just mean that you bought at the top. This is why, before you invest, there is a need to consider the best time for it. Imagine someone going into umbrella sales business and the time he decides is the dry season, his patronage will not be much because no one needs an umbrella when it is not raining. But if he goes into the same business in the raining season, he will make quick sales because umbrella is a necessity in raining season. During the last pandemic period, the people that sold health and safety products (like face mask, hand sanitizer, IR thermometer, etc) made a fortune. This is because that was the right time for the business. Now, going into the same business may not yield as much profit because the pandemic is already over. WHERE to invest This talks about the specific location for the business that you want to invest in. A business may be very viable and profitable, and it may also be the right time to inevst, but a wrong location can make a mess of the investment. Take this instance: there are some parts of the world that experience extreme cold temperatures, like the polar cap regions. Imagine starting a business that involves the sale of Air Conditioning and cooling system and choosing that location, the business will be stalled because those places don't need such items. But if you situate the same business in a hot region, the sales will be massive. Sometimes, if a business seems not to be moving as desired, it may not be anything relating to the quality of the business but it may simply be a wrong location.
