You can only determine the kind of actions that you want to put into place but there is something that you cannot determine and that is the consequences of the actions. A few months back, a friend of mine told me about how he did a particular thing in his place of work and consequently he got suspended over the incidence. When he asked few questions, he discovered that the company already declared a stand about that particular act before the did it. Funny enough it was something that could have been easily avoided but he saw himself doing it. Well, he was able to choose his actions but the consequences of his actions were beyond his choices.

> For every action, there is an equal reaction

The above is paraphrased from Isaac Newton's third law of motion, but it can also be applied to other ramifications of human life and not just in physics. When you act, there will almost always be an aftereffect to the action and oftentimes, you do not have a choice about it. You will agree with me that you cannot dive into the water and still have a choice whether your body will get wet or not. The act of diving itself had already set the precedence for your body to get wet. Similarly, you cannot play around a burning firewood and stop the smell of smoke from cleaving to your body. All these point out to the fact that your choice only ends in your actions and does not cover the consequence itself.

If you do not want your body to get wet, then do not play with/in water. In the same way, if you do not want a certain result, then you should avoid undertaking the actions that have the proclivity to lead to that result. If you will be able to think of the potential consequences of the actions that you want to take, you will be cautious of the actions that you take and you will take them responsibly. One of the major banes of humankind is that they often allow their actions to move faster than their brain. That is, they act without thinking about what effect their actions will bring. This is why the world is ladened with ill actions.

It is worthy to note that results do not happen by chance, they principally happen by the choice of actions. One thing to also know is that, more often than not, when actions go forth, they cannot be undone, you can only brace to welcome the results. If actions were to be undone, then what was done yesterday can be edited. The effect of the actions of the past is what you see as results today. However, the good thing is that you can take the right actions today and the future will come with the right results.

Everyone is absolutely responsible for their own actions and these actions are what determine the outcome of their lives. So by inference, everyone can determine the outcome of their lives by the kind of actions that they take. Positive action is the prerequisite to obtaining positive outcome in life. There are many things that people often pray about or wish for that can easily be obtained by acting rightly. As a matter of fact, even with your wishes, if your actions are negative, you cannot have a positive result.
