Unveiling Bionic Uterus: {Rays of light shimmers on the path of women without womb}

<p>This technology will, no doubt, aid couples that cannot go through the normal process of fertilization and incubation of embryos. Also, it can aid in fetal surgeries, where a corrective surgery is done on foetus and transplanted from the natural to the bionic womb.</p>

<p><strong>Components of the bionic uterus</strong></p>
<p>The bionic uterus (also called “<strong>Exowomb</strong>”) will mimic the biological womb to the minutest details. Taken into consideration is the channel for oxygen supply and mineral supply, and also for the disposal of metabolic wastes. The <strong>amniotic tank</strong> will function as the biological <strong>amniotic sac</strong>, and <strong>border channel</strong> will mimic the functions of the <strong>placenta</strong>. Also, the air vents are to maintain adequate oxygen supply.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Bioethics of this kind of tech</strong></p>
<p>It is a known fact that every new stride will be greeted with oppositions. This tech is not an exception to this fact. The bionic uterus has raised mixed reservations ethically and legally. Concerns were also raised that children born from bionic wombs may lack the normal mother-to-child bonds.</p>
