In life, you need to know what to expect so that you will not be taken unawares. One thing to know about life is that it does not always move as desired. At a point, you have to welcome and challenge oppositions. As a matter of fact, one of the greatest disappointments people have is to expect life to be fair. Well, you only take out of life the measure of what you have put into it.

When a sailor is trained, he is made to pass through the tempest sea so as to get him prepared to face the real deal. This is because the calm waters may one day became boisterous and he needs to learn how to navigate through it too. No wonder this particular popular saying goes: 

> The rough waters does make a good sailor

In life, you have to be ready to take on oppositions as they come. Just to let you know, challenges may not come exactly the way you anticipate it and may not give a warning before coming, but if you have prepared yourself to live ready (not just getting ready at the instance of the challenge), you will overcome.

No one is made a warlord based on theories, it must be earned through battle. In the same way, there are some levels you may never attain in life until you have been tested and proved by challenges. When challenges come your way, do not see them as disadvantage but as something you need to ride higher in life.

In school for example, any student that does not face their exam and pass it will not access the next class. Imagine if a student becomes so scared of a particular exam and dodges it, will it ever be possible for him to go higher in class? His next level is tied to the exams of his present level and as he advances, the exam he will meet will become tougher.

Similarly, in life, when your level advances, you will meet new and more fierce challenges. The presence of challenges at any point in your life's journey is a strong indication that you are doing something right and that you are on a right course, so be ready to face them. Always have this in mind; for the challenges to come to you, it only means that you are built to take on it, so give it your shot.
