You Are Not A Failure; It Is Not The End
<div class="text-justify">

When someone tries something and it seems like they failed at it, there is something negative that is usually attached to it by some people - like something to be ashamed of. However, what they refuse to realise is that because someone failed does not automatically mean that they are failures in life, neither does it mean an end-of-the-road. You will be surprised that a lot of the great achievers that the world has known have some moments that they also failed. But they never allowed their failure to determine who they are, rather they saw it as a learning process. The act of failing is not what makes you a failure but accepting it as who you are. That you did not get the result at the first trial only means that you can get it at the subsequent trials, not that you are a failure.

Just like a teacher will normally reveal to you what does not work or where you need to pay more attention to, failure can also help you to see what needs to be worked on. Take a student for example, after their termly examinations and he discovered that he did not do well in a particular subject. What it means is that he needs to pay more attention and study more on the subject so that he will do well in it in the next term. If the student sees the result and feels discouraged because he did not do well in that subject, he may never pick up his grades, because he is already seeing the failure as something negative instead of as part of the learning processes.

When I went to my auntie's place some years back during one of my vacations, I observed something adorable. Her child was about 11 months at the time and was starting to learn how to walk. He would stand a bit, then fall, and it happened countless times. However, each of the falls did not discourage the kid from still attempting it again, rather it actually brought him closer to being able to stand and ultimately walk. After a couple of failures, he was able to stand for long, and it was like a major milestone. Them from there, he took the first baby step. All these were part of what made him learn how to walk. This shows that for every failure, there is always something to learn, which can prepare you for greatness.

I have heard people say that they feel discouraged by failure. In fact, a few days ago, one of my friends was complaining about how she left a particular business because she failed at it. I tried to make her to look at things differently. I told her that for the fact that she failed should even encourage her because it is a proof that she actually took a step. When I told her that, she got encouraged and tried again. This time, she did not try with zero knowledge, but she tried with the knowledge that she had gotten from the initial time that she tried. Adorably, what she failed at previously was what she later succeeded at. This proves that you are the only one to determine if your failure will be an end or not.

That you have attempted something and maybe you failed at it, should not become your permanent identity as a failure, but you should rather see it as a temporary situation. Take the case of the scientist, Thomas Edison, as an example. Do you know how many times he failed at his attempt to invent the light bulb? If he was discouraged after the first couple of failures, he may not have invented the bulb. But he continued putting actions, making attempts, trying, and at the end, his idea became a reality and the light bulb was invented.

One of the things you have to know is that you can turn failure to success if you will apply determination, resilience, discipline, hard work, with a spirit of "never quitting." As long as you refuse to quit, then the failure is not the end, rather it will make you stronger and better. More so, there are lots of opportunities that you can see in a supposed failed attempts that you may never have seen if you did not try. For example, if the door to a particular job closes, you will be surprised the kind of opportunities that have been staring you in the face which you have not noticed all these while. This is why you should not conclude anything as negative, even a failed attempt, because something good can still come out from it.
