You Need That Rest
<div class="text-justify">

For a lot of people, they do not see resting as a priority and they tend to believe that there is no need for it. Well, just to let you know; if you do not take a break nor take a rest and you finally break down, the world will not stop for you. You will be surprised how the world will continue to move as if nothing has happened. The job that you feel you are indispensable and that without you, the work will be hampered; you will be surprised that if anything happens to you, you will be perfectly replaced and the next person may even be more productive than you. So try to take out time to rest.

One of the things to understand is that the world and all the activities here do not revolve around your head, so do not act as the director of the universe or the guardian of the galaxy. There is no point pushing yourself over your limits and end up with diminishing returns. The truth is that there is a point which your body can push through and then it will begin to reduce in productivity. So resting makes you to recharge and then becomes more productive.

If you take a closer survey, you will realize that the decisions and tasks that people do at the early hours of the day when their physical and mental energy are still intact are normally more productive than the ones they undertake during the evenings when they must have been exhausted. By resting, you do not only recharge your physical body but also your mental energy. If you use your device for days without leaving it to rest nor recharge it, it will not be long and it will break down. This same thing happens when you continue to push yourself beyond your limit without resting - breaking down becomes inevitable.

It is better to know when to rest and choose to rest willingly than to continue without resting and being forced to rest or ultimately "resting in peace." It is true that life has a lot of demands but you cannot also solve all of them at a go, you need to take them in bits and then find time to rest. Work does not finish, neither do activities finish. As a matter of fact, the more you work and achieve results, then more the demand to work, but this does not mean that you should not rest.

When you are working in a corporate organisation, after a while, they will give you some time off to rest - annual leave. The reason is not because they like you to stay off from work, but because they understand the need for rest; they know that when you have rested and resumes work, you will have an increased productivity level. If the annual leave was not necessary, workplaces will not bother giving it to their employees, but they know the importance and they want you to become more productive. No matter how strong you are, if you continue working without resting, a time will come when you will hit your breaking point.

Nature, in its kindness, has given humanity the night time. What you do with your night time is entirely dependent on you. If you work throughout the day and also work throughout the night without resting a bit, then you are not maximising your night time well and you cannot owe nature. Once nature comes for its dues, it is either you pay it willingly or you will be forced to pay it. One thing to know is that; even though you can determine the time to rest, rest itself is not a choice but it is a mandate. Rest is not reserved for the weak, neither is it a waste of productivity, but it is an act or recharging and renewing oneself.

Each time you go against or violate nature's law of rest, you are not cheating nature but you are cheating your own self. This is because it will definitely come with severe consequences. So in order to prevent this, you have to know when to take a time off to rest and when to work. It is also a mark of maturity to differentiate between work time and rest time.
