Like I used to say, one thing that the coming of technology has brought to us humans is ease. The advent of technology has really brought us ease and not only that, it's also brought the whole wide world to our palms and doorsteps through the use of technologically developed gadgets such as phones and computers.

These two gadgets through their uses has really taken us from where the world used to be, which is the analog era of the past world to the digital life of this current time and for the reason of this transition from one era to the other, the world has turned out to be a small place where we all can interact, communicate and get exposed to what's going on around the world.

So, having talked so much about the influence of technology on the world, I would like to delve into the topic properly. One thing about the phone and the computer as gadgets is that, both came with what I would refer to as addiction and one thing I have got to know is that, once a thing or let me use a meal is tasted and tested and we humans now find that it to be delicious or captivating, then we are glued to it.

So, I would like to liken a phone to a delicious meal that we have found delicious and got glued to. Sincerely speaking, the phone has a gadget that has got us addicted to itself.

Though, some people most especially the elderly one who had lived in the past are always criticizing the use of phone by the younger generation of today, but to me, it's normal for us the youth of today to be addicted to phone usage and this is because this is our time and this own time is characterized by technology and aside that, we are in the jet age and for most of the question of our lives, the answers are mostly available online, unlike in the past where it's not so.

Aside from this, most of the younger ones now make their ends meet via the use of the gadgets called phones. Some through their online posting and to others through online trading. So, all these things are enough to get someone addicted to the use of phones. We even have some people working from home via the use of their phone or computer. This is the extent to which technology has advanced and taken us to.

But the question of the day is, Can I stay or live without my phone for an hour or two? Hmmm, as for me, nothing is impossible.  To stay without the use of a phone for days, even not hours, is possible for me. Though, I was previously of the opinion that there's no way I would stay without the use of a phone for a day, but when my phone was stolen some months back, I was forced to live without a phone for like 3 months and nothing happened to me.

Though, it's so difficult and not easy to me, but there's nothing I could do as I have nothing on me to get another phone immediately after I lost my last phone and since I have no one to spare me a phone, I resigned to fate and it took me almost three months to get a new phone via my earnings from work. So, as for me, it's possible for me to live and stay without a phone.

Aside from this, the issue of epileptic power supply in my area has been a contributing factor to me not using the phone for 24hours per day. In most cases, I only make use of my phone for like 7 hours out of 24 hours in a day. Though, it's something I wished for and that's why I got 2 powerbanks , but both cannot even serve my household for the 24 hours in a day as we still have to charge the power bank for us to be able to use it to charge our phones.

So, staying without a phone for 2 hours is even the easiest thing for me to do. Though, even aside from all these things I have mentioned earlier, I have also programmed myself not to be addicted to the use of phones every now and then. Though, this has been tough on me, but I'm getting used to every bit of it.
