Greetings!

There's something that's been part of life even right from ages past. Those things might be positive and atimes it might be negative. No matter what side of the coin those things are, they cannot actually be taken out of life and this is because those things are what make life a life of mysteries.  

One of those things that's been part of life is setbacks. When talking about setbacks, they are the obstacles or challenges of life that confront humans in one stage or the other in their lifetime. Atimes, setbacks might come in the form of failure, delay, or unexpected events in one's life. So, when these events are being noticed in one's life, they are signs of setbacks in one's life.

Also, there can be setbacks in one's personal life, professional life and or financial life. It all depends on the area one is experiencing setbacks. 

So, going by the topic on how to overcome setbacks when noticed in one's life, I would like to talk about those strategies I have at one time or another used to overcome the menace of setbacks in my life and even the setbacks that I have witnessed in my life. But before I continue,  one thing I want us all to know is that setbacks are bad occurrences that should not be allowed but kicked against by individual humans and this is because of the havoc it can wreck on humans.

Like I said above, I have in my lifetime experienced different forms of setbacks, but I have been able to overcome them using some strategies. So, because of the time at my disposal,  I would talk about two out of many setbacks I have witnessed in my lifetime. The first of my setbacks is my academic setback and the second is my business setback.

It all started when I was to write my SSCE exam in the year 2008, back then, I was the senior prefect boy and there's this kind of passing once expectation being placed on me. But after the exam, the unexpected happened and I failed my core subject of Mathematics and English language.  This was a really great setback that brought shame to me and the school management.  How could the senior prefect boy fail in his SSCE exam? I was so devastated and could not even go near the school without collecting my testimonial from the school.

So, after my unexpected failure,  I went back to the drawing board of my life, having a self retreat of what's happened to me and as to why I failed when I was supposed to have passed well. It's in the process of this self retreat that I discovered some of those things that caused my failure. When I realized the causes of my failure, I began to work on it without letting the past failure weigh me down. So, I was so determined after the self retreat otherwise known as self review to move on to pass the next exam. 

So, with this with proper consultation,  I was able to overcome the first setback of my life and when the next exam came, I did not only pass, but passed with flying colors. 

So, to summarize the strategies i used to overcome my first setback,  I would say, I first and foremost look into what caused the failure and that's in the form of “SELF RETREAT. “  in which after, I took my time with determination not to allow such to happen the next time which was “RESILIENT” towards passing my next exam and after that, “CONSULTATION.” came in. This I did by consulting people that are well grounded in the subject. I failed and eventually like I said earlier,  I passed very well.

So, since then, I have been applying these three strategies to overcoming my setbacks and recently when I had setbacks in my foodstuffs business, I also called for these three strategies I have once used and it also helped me overcome the setbacks i recently witnessed in my business. The only strategy I added to the three seeking God's face. When I have used the three strategies and it's not working effectively as I hoped, I seek God's face and immediately that happens, there's an open door and I overcome the challenges that would have plunged me into huge debt.

So, like I said in the first paragraph,  life is full of mysteries and rather positive or negative, there's somethings that have come to be part of human's life and setbacks is one of those thing. The only thing is that when it comes, we should be alert to tackle it with the necessary strategies and I believe we will come out victorious.
