I came across the OCD game contest on a game with the title [**Crypto Shots**](https://peakd.com/contest/@ocd/OCD-and-crypto-shots-contest) which entails writers should make a review of the game or pen out a fictional story for the game. I must say it was too much of an offer to decline since I'm always been interested in anything relating to blockchain. Feel free to check out the contest too.

Most of the play-to-earn games on WAX are 2D and simple click-to-earn games. But hey.. the 90's called and want the 2D games back!

Nevertheless, the interface is dope, the color combination is on point, and the design filled the simplicity working nicely to give a user the best experience possible. But it was quite slow at first but I'm sure it won't be a regular thing after the first trial of the game, since it will load your cache moving forward. 

The game also creates a space for weapons, tools, and avatars all available at your beck and call. All are designed in form of NFTs placed on the market as the platform calls it. It's not hard to know this creates value and use cases for each item. Their weapons are well-designed to suit the hands of the 3D avatar

My first thought was to make a video but with the recent issue with my webcam acting all naughty and frustrated by my usage, I had to settle for a write-up, which I feel was the best decision I made. 

What intrigued me and got my undivided attention was the game story, which involves writing a story befitting the game. It was all exciting and adrenaline pumping in my veins as I picked up my writing gadget to craft out. I also decided to make it the huge focus of my entry for the contest cause I took my time to develop the story to the fullest of my imagination.

# A Game Story for Crypto Shot
In the era of 2045, where all has been dark and filled with fume, imagination is all we have to keep us in shape. We now live in our crafted mental picture of things, people are even more scared of being themselves, or expressing whatever they feel may conflict with the conventional way of doing things. The youths are in fear, the old are more worried than ever, and even smiles and joy can no longer be seen in plain sight. 

Although they may fake a smile, a smiley face, or even an interaction, deep down we all know it's not real and it is all fallacy. But wait, do not be sad or even frightened about how things probably got bad during such an era. It is all a product of humanity and its failed vices, people shutting down their emotions towards others, all because of previous experiences. Well, who could blame or even judge, we are all guilty, and check within you would see what I am right.

Although this time, the reality of our everyday life is filled with breakthroughs in science, events are more popularized online, even meetings are attended through the upgraded version of a hologram. The time of going out to hang with friends being difficult or close to impossible because of distance is now a thing of the past. And yet we are still lonely and looking for companionship in all ferries of life. It's bad, right? Paint the image in your head, see beyond the metrics, and take your time if needed, then you realize what I'm saying. What freaks me out the most is the survival instinct flocking around town, children strolling in and out of the military, flexing their muscles to show their prowess and maturity, which they still lack in all gratification possible. Ha, I barely laugh when laughing at this cause it's not needed. Why show ourselves in a world where we are merely trying to get through the day? To me, they are lost in the fake reality they have consumed themselves into, the reality of technology is the measuring tool for progress and societal growth. 

Terrified and pale, that's the state of my emotion every single day, I'm even less concerned any more about the surrounding I find myself in. Barely holding on tight to scale through the last string of sanity I have left, if there's any left. 

My naivety prevails even more than I budget, still hoping things could all change at any moment, making me more blinded to the situation that things are even more bad than worse. Calling it bad would even be an understatement or a fictional form of putting it. The land is now filled with suicidal thoughts cause fighting for survival is harder than we all expected.  I've been forced to be the soldier was never meant to be and the adult I never wished for but rather despised. I've slowly become the man in the uniform holding a spaceship weapon for his very own protection and survival. At war with forces bigger than myself, encrypted in cryptography and backed by blockchain, and the worse of them all, blessed with transformed electric circuits. The war is blood for blood, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for more, the battleground has been crossed, and territories have been marked, we wrestle with machines controlled by AIs seeking DNA and human body parts for advanced experiments. Kill or be killed is now the new chant the leaders of tomorrow have on their lips, singing it out loud to the ears of the world but yet nobody listens.

What will my fate be when I look my child in the eye and see nothing but fear? Fear of being left and all alone, fear of never seeing mama again because papa was too much of a coward to hold a gun and fight. They came like thieves in the night as the Bible said, but failed to mention they were drones and robotics instead of people. They moved in groups making it hard to disseminate while destroying every single thing I owed or loved. I watch my house set ablaze as my only daughter stayed hidden in the hip of clothes packed deep in her wardrobe. I cried and begged like a child when they grabbed me by my hands, lifted me, and kept me bundled at the back of the truck while we headed to the lab. All I could see were blinds because of the heavy hit I got from the robot which left me unconscious but when I opened those weak pupils of mine, chains, incubators, organs, human parts, gadgets, robot parts, and spares were all I could see. It didn't take up to a second to know I was laying flat on a desk in the wicked labs of AIs, where experiments to convert humans into robots were going on daily. It even took more seconds to see there was someone laying by my side. I had completely forgotten about the obvious truth that I wasn't the only one held down beyond his wish, but what caught my eye was how the next to me was crafting a way out. I watched as she pulled a sharp small blade from the hook of her bra while being tied up. Remaining mute was all I could do cause I didn't want to jeopardize my only chance of an escape. She succeeded in cutting off the ropes as they were loosely tied, with no effect or remorse, she tossed the blade over, and immediately I did the same thing she had done successfully, set myself free.

It was selfish of us to help the rest as we knew it would take time and we could be noticed but I just couldn't resist the urge to set a young boy free as well. He was tied in the same way but he was different as he wore a tuxedo with some alcohol strain on the frontal half of the blazer, with which one could tell he was taken from his high school prom.

I kept on trying to set him free but the more it got difficult, making us spend time that could have been used for the escape on his case. I shouted for help from my new female rescuer as she came at full speed to give a helping hand. That was how our escape story took a turn for the worse. Unknown to us, a drone came from behind and pulled up a couple of shots, killing my rescuer and the young teenager. I wouldn't say I was lucky cause the rescuer covered me with her back, making it hard for the shots to locate me. But I put it to you, I ran as fast as I could, leaving everything behind and looking for the best possible exit, as my life was at stake.

Now I'm left lost in a big wick lab filled with drones hunting for my every existence buyer is hope as 
I stomped upon an armor room filled with weapons of different sizes and loaded for mass destruction. All that's left for me is to fight my way out or die while trying.

#### In Conclusion..


Crypto Shots is definitely worth a look. I suck at this kind of games but I absolutely enjoyed trying to stay alive Hehehehe. A bit difficult even at the "easy" level but yeah, That's what makes it fun. Feel free to comment below. Tell me what you think about the game!
