Not to know is Bad; not to wish to know is Worse

Hello everyone, 

I feel a bit down today, But as usual, I've got to write something as that's part of my life now. I think I'm faced with malaria again, It looks like it happens every time to me. Oh yeah! It's an environment thing. This is not a post to rant about my health, so I'd jump past it now.

***Have you ever wondered the things you would do if you could go back in time?*** 

If you ask me, I would say the top of my list is buying Bitcoin and trying to save my mother.

Truth is, We all have different things we would do differently because of the things we know now. When I learned Chess, I got checkmated by my friend in 4 Moves, it was strange because I always thought a chess game should last long. I later found out that it was a chess trick called "Scholar's Mate". I learned it and since then, I've never lost on board to a four-move sequence.

#### Not to know is bad; not to wish to know is worse.

The quest for knowledge is something I find intriguing. I've always wanted to learn everything and know everything. In my recent article, I talked about my love for books people call diabolical and evil.  Knowledge is power.

When I thought of this saying, A story came to my mind that I would love to share.

#### My Uniswap Story...

I was very late to crypto. even though I had a steem account, I knew nothing about the blockchain. I only played chess. Even when I get rewards, I always begged my friend to help convert them. Online chess was a thing for me and somehow I found myself playing a chess tournament that had prizes in crypto.

I came second and I was asked to provide my Eth wallet to receive a token. Honestly, I had no clue what that was, till a friend helped me create one via the trust wallet app. I got the token and kept it In my wallet for a long time.

Things got pretty bad and that same friend suggested I sell off my token. He proceed to swap it on Uniswap and that's how I qualified for the uniswap airdrop.

##### So...

I got a call from another friend, "Hey sam, ever used uniswap before?" And, I'm like "No" then I thought again, I have. He then said I should forward some phrases from my trust wallet, That he is going to give me some huge funds. I thought it through and I figured I didn't invest anywhere, he is my friend, there is nothing to worry about.


I got $400-$500 when I could have gotten over $1000 from the uniswap airdropped just because I had no clue. I can't say I got scammed by my friend because I agreed to give him my phrases. Ever since then, I try my best to read and stay updated with tech innovations.

I also would’ve gotten into crypto and blockchain earlier and joined Hive earlier too.

The Englishman was not joking when he said, "Knowledge is power," and it perfectly aligns with the bible's phrasal sentence, "My people perish for lack of knowledge."

The acquisition of knowledge should never stop for anyone, especially if they seek to thrive in this world. It becomes imperative that one must know and continue to learn in order to stay at the top of their game. There are so many problems that do not need to exist, simply because they were created from ignorance.

Knowledge is power. And it is power that liberates; liberation from darkness. It can be really appalling to see how some people choose to remain in the dark. It is okay to not have known, but to continue to not know is a sin.
