남극에서 만들어진지 106년된 케이크 발견

보관하던 철제보관상자는 부식되었지만
안에 있는 내용물은 멀쩡한 106년짜리 파운드 케이크가
남극에서 발견되었습니다.

아무리 자연 냉장고인 남극에서라도
발견되는 음식들은 대부분 변질된 상태인데
먹을 수 있을정도로 온전한 상태로 발견된건 드문일이겠네요.
그렇다고 저걸 먹으라고하면 먹을사람이 얼마나 있을진 모르겠지만....

케이크의 주인은 남극을 정복한 아문센과 경쟁했던
영국인 스콧으로 추정됩니다. 스콧은 여러가지 준비실패로 인해
남극 원정 도중 사망했기 때문에
이런유품이 발견되어졌을거 같네요.
