Hey everyone, I’m @sampraise77, and for Hive open mic week 264, I’m sharing my cover of Odogwu by Kemelord. I think you’ll really enjoy this one!

Odogwu, which means mighty man or great warrior in Igbo, is all about praising Jesus as the ultimate champion. Kemelord shifts the focus onto God’s strength and the victories He’s won. The lyrics celebrate how God has never lost a battle and how no one can stand against Him. Jesus is called the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and King of Zion, showing His authority and power.

There’s a powerful line in the song: “Since I was born and now I am getting old, I have never seen or heard You fail.” It really resonates with believers who have felt God's presence in their lives and trust in His faithfulness.
