The current voting system can be easily manipulated, I'm sure we don't need too much explanation on that.

## strategy to achieving this goal

Obviously it will not be easy to convince these corrupt politicians that there is a transparent method to vote, so dropping proposals and talking to inec is not a quick approach.

The Blockchain council in Nigeria needs to  gift nigeria a blockchain dapp built on any of the Blockchain dapp platforms (Ethereum, eos or tron) or talk to those Nigerians who have already built a dapp for this purpose and collectively support them. 

The body should collectively look through the code of the selected dapp(s) and choose one that fits our goal.

The chosen dapp should be pushed to higher institutions for testing during their SUG elections within the next 3 years, if/when the results shows full transparency, accuracy and speed and all or most higher institutions have tested and seen the importance of Blockchain based elections, then getting the government to approve it for inec in our next election will be a piece of cake the next year. 


Which Blockchain should we use?

# Ethereum

For the data (Voters identity and vote) to be registered on the Blockchain, it needs to be a transaction on the Blockchain, so assuming we have 10 million Nigerians voting at a fee of $0.1 (covers registration for voting and Voting), we'll spend $1 million dollars or less for a free, easy, transparent election.

Note: the $1 million dollars are paid for fees and cannot be recovered.

# tron

Using same data as Ethereum: 
Fees on the tron Blockchain are cheaper than Ethereum (most especially now that Ethereum is still a pow). 

So it's possible to spend 50% lower than Ethereum : about $500,000 gone for fees

# EOS 

Using same data used for Ethereum:

Eos currently has no fees, but you must stake eos to cast your votes. Now let's take a wide assumption: let's assume it cost 5 times the fees on Ethereum to stake eos for 10 million nigerians to cast their votes, that will result in $5 million dollars to conduct the election. But here is the interesting part, once the election is over, inec can unstake that $5 million dollars worth of eos from the 10 million Nigerians voting dapp accounts, thereby making the election almost free. 

Note: the $5 million dollars are not gone, they can be recovered (unstaked) 



With a dapp built on any of these Blockchains, we can have Nigerians vote from the comfort of their homes, using their smart phones or computers 

It's left for us to choose what want.
