Into the Eye of Infinity: A Solstice family healing 🌙

Those of you following me here for some time will already know that my daughter Luna has a magic eye with a constantly dilated pupil through which she is able to see the world in different way to the rest of us. She is almost now at the age where I can investigate what this means and it is evident already she can see in the dark like a cat. Most nights she wanders around a pitch-black house fearlessly (before jumping into bed with us!) while I know Esteban would never be able to do this because the darkness is too dark for him.

By contrast she must hold the eye closed in the brightness of the day and does not have optimal vision. I'm against sunglasses, but for Luna I simply cannot think of another way.

While I am seriously excited about her night vision (and the infinite list of other vision related skills we are yet to discover!) there is something else. Something I don't like to post images of because it makes me feel uncomfortable looking at it. Her magic eye cannot move freely like the other and she is unable to look down or right with it.

She was not born this way, so the muscles and nerves around her eye are changing and I feel like we must keep pushing for answers.

Traditional doctors have been totally useless at providing answers, so a few months ago Luna & Sabrina started doing some energy work with a local healer, with the intention of releasing unwanted energies & helping Luna re-gain the full range of movement in her magic eye.

Both Luna's eyes immediately developed little styes, which we are told by the energy worker is a good sign. She has since then taken Luna on as a special case and asked that I attend the next session which will be held at her private residence on the Summer Solstice, after she has completed a two day period of meditation.

Needless to say I am honoured & excited to see how interested & committed she is to our case and I wouldn't miss this for the world! A Solstice energy session with my family :) How perfect!

We will be setting off after lunch today, in just a few hours.

I think she will find my energy useful.

I am still making my sourdough bread every other day, currently making mini-loaves, heavily seeded. On the downside, our electricity bill has doubled since I started baking! I will build a bread oven eventually.

Even without our land, it wouldn't be difficult to say that we are living in abundance. What's more is that every member of this little family is still discovering their special skills and ultimately, who they really are.

Yes, we live in crazy times but when you keep looking for the good stuff, all you will find is the good stuff.

Several years ago, about 20, I developed a sudden eye problem seemingly over night. The eye doctor called it *iritis*, and I still on occasion will experience pain in that eye in bright light conditions. I never developed the redness or pinkness to the eye whites but my pupil was fully open. The doctor gave me a gel type antibiotic ointment to put in and a patch to keep the light out of the eye when it really bothered me. 

The doctor said it was a pretty rare thing, if you have an ophthalmologist ask him/her about it, a regular doctor may not be familiar with it. It took about 3 weeks to where I no longer had to put the eye patch on if I remember right. (sunglasses did not help much).

Appreciate your recap of this tale.  Hadn't heard of irits till now.  

From what I can understand the dilation of her pupil and the lack of ability to look right or down relates to the cranial nerves which control all these things but the eye specialists who we have been seeing for the last two years could not give us any further clues as to a progressive condition which affects them.  The MRI showed nothing abnormal so they would have us believe that we are mistaken and that actually she was born with this condition.  Which she wasn't.


I have said to Sabrina from the beginning this is not a job for doctors and now that she believes me, let us see where we get to with energy work.  Yesterday was a pretty amazing experience and it was clear from her words that she was able to tap into the period shortly after Luna's birth.  A period which has a few oddities around it, like evil spirits being located in the centre of our home by a local Balinese holy man.

hopefully it will all work out, kids are pretty resilient, and if you and your wife don't show a lot of fear about it she wont be afraid of it. Our actions and words are picked up by those ever learning young minds.

That is certainly my intention. But it is worth noting that I could have written a post which focused on my fears around Luna's eyes or her often aggressive behaviour.  Or how completely fucked we are if crypto doesn't make a comeback this year!  But I very intentionally kept the focus to a particular feeling.  So in the end it isn't so much about us doing particularly well, but rather it is about focusing on the best aspects of our now.  You're just gonna have to trust me when I tell you there are plenty of things I could complain about!  

All of that being said, the energy work yesterday was very interesting because she called Sabrina & I out specifically as needing to do more work on ourselves & our relationship.  Indeed, she believes when children experience malfunctions it almost exclusively relates to the parents and work which has not been done. So... looks like I will no longer be able to hide from this one by adjusting my focus of attention ;)

Turns out we were not the only clients she had invited for the special solstice session.  She did mention however that she felt Luna to be more receptive than the others she had seen prior to us.  All in all it was super interesting and I have booked a private session for further energy work with just me! I think I will benefit from this :)
