Hoping to assure me of global warming my step father sent me the above 30sec graphic which demonstrates using a pretty colour wheel the (supposed) temperature anomalies around the world, based on data provided by NASA.  I do appreciate he is trying in his own way to help me but he is going to have to try harder than this if he is to sway me from my current understanding that we are entering now into a Grand Solar Minimum, similar to a mini ice age.

I believe we are going to see the complete collapse of industrial agriculture over the next ten years as weather conditions around the world become more and more erratic and extreme.  Further to this I believe that if we intend for our children to survive what is coming we must grow our own food or become part of a community who are already doing this.  

I took the time to prepare a decent response for my step father so that we have something to talk about next week when he arrives here in France for a visit:

Finally, it is simple enough to verify that the Arctic sea ice volume is higher now than it has been in the last three years:

None of the above really seems to fit the global warming narrative.

My step father is a pragmatic ex Major who served in the Falklands & Northern Island.  He is surprisingly open to healthy unheated discussions but does however struggle to accept the possibility that organisations such as NASA might be feeding us incorrect data.  Also, he is deaf in one ear due to an IRA bomb which almost killed him, so one has to be sure to stand on his best side and speak up!

The picture is from the last time he & my mother came to visit me in Bali two years ago when BTC was under $1000.  I remember this specifically because I persuaded my mother to invest $100 into Bitcoin Cash at the time and she became very excited over the next eight months watching her investment rise to $1500.  She could not have caught a more perfect moment to invest and now that she has chosen to visit again, perhaps this is the perfect moment to invest again?

Coming back to the subject of warming or cooling...

As my step father rightly pointed out back when I first told him my thoughts on this subject, it doesn't really matter if we believe the world is warming or cooling.  Either way this is going to affect our agriculture and growing our own food can only ever be a good thing.

My family & I are currently learning the ropes with our first patch of land.

If it wasn't for the 4 month drought we've had here in the South of France we would have started already!  We need rain before we can rotavate the soil making the land suitable for growing.  

We may have to find another way...
