The importance of a diverse portfolio


Looking at coinmarketcap we can see that while BTC has made great gains of 9% over the last 7 days, the alts are doing much better.

During the bull run of 2017 I noted the same thing, which is why I set about diversifying my portfolio.

Interesting to note that BTC dominance hasn't dropped much.

Apparently new money is flowing into the alt market.

I used to keep 30% btc but I feel now that’s way too little. I think 50-70% btc is a much better idea!  Now sure is a nice time to hold alts

It is certainly the safest bet.  I'm holding just 16% BTC at the moment though would like to increase this to around 25%.  Based on what I saw last time around, the risk of losing one or two investments to shitcoins is outweighed by the ridiculous gains in the alt market for those which survive the test of time.

sure, but those coins that win big will become fewer and fewer as time goes on .  The altcoin rally last time came before btc pump if i remember correctly.  I'm just playing this to try and get 2 bitcoins....somehow....
