Indian brides crying at their own wedding is common. India is a land of traditions and customs and it is a ritual for a new bride to bid adieu to her family all teary eyed. The ritual is called as 'bidaai' back here and the bride who doesn't cry is termed insensetive because who doesn't cry at the thought of leaving their maternal home right? .

Well, there are girls who choose their party themselves and date them for ages before tying the knot and still cry at their wedding. Well, I understand that these customs were created decades ago when the bride's had to actually forget their parents and settle in a far away place along with a unknown man who was now her husband. But, things are different now. Girls can constantly be in touch with her parents and can meet them as and when they want, then what's the need for that symbolic crying. 

Well, a girl in the Indian state of Bengal did exactly that. She didn't she'd a tear and told her parents also to not indulge in such age old, reason less, rituals. The girl must have been ridiculed by the oldies in the venue, but she gathered much applauds from people who shared this news. 

I am happy that girls are taking the reigns in their own hands and she standing shoulder yo shoulder among men. It is the fresh step that symbolically represents that India is changing and very soon we will have a country that can match any developed one.
