I think all the 20 witness are leaders. So it's upto all the Hiveans to choose their leaders by casting their Winess Vote. 

There are different layers of leader here, as influence the biggest stake is the leader, whatever decision he takes the chain has to follow... Then you have as you say the one that gives more visibility around, that shows off and partecipate at events... You also have who builds a lot of tools and is involved in projects...

One of the things I have actually learnt about web3 is that they live in the era of no identification so we can point out to someone that is the boss 

Influential leaders are what is needed to fully develop the full potential of Hive, which is still dormant, so to speak, but if we are a decentralized blockchain, for me they should be, as I said at the beginning, only influential so that they see the security but never to make decisions that correspond only to us.

I think a group of leaders would be a preferred term since Hive is a decentralized platform. And we have a number of them that are showing good leadership skill, promoting hives, and engaging in activities that would bring positive growth to hive.

I'm positive about hive and I know a time would come when we will go beyond $20 few years to come.

I liked how you didn't took any name personally but still mentioned why you think few people will fit as the good option to be here for the leadership role. 

I think hive has a good market influence already when it comes to it's token but as a platform our social blockchain is still something not known by many.

A lot of people might be trading and making profits in hive based on what they do with the charts and all but even they might have not seen what the actual product in the name of hive really means.

I think someone who can fill this gap and take hive among the locals from all around the world can be a good leader for sure.

I believe some of us has this personal influence for a leadership role in the social blockchain. You are on point sir. I agree with you on the essence of having a good leader who will create a good impact in Hive . Hive will be decentralized but how is what i really don't know.

it all depends what is a leader for you, physical or not , big wallet or not.
HIVE has its own way to juice its own system, however you see it, but obviously your direction on the question is not clear.

I think this is difficult to answer and do, due to the decentralized nature of Hive. A lot of people would like to keep it that way to preserve this decentralization. But if I were to answer it, I think the Witnesses are the closest we have to this. We can maybe have them as a collective serve as the leader. If you want a single person, then it can be Arcange who is the current top voted Witness, or they can nominate one among themselves.

I do think that we need to do better as a blockchain in getting our name out there and getting more users. I don't know if getting a singular leader will help solve that, but I think making better use of the Hive Fund on better projects can be a start.

Before reading this post I used to think there is a leader/ team of people that are in charge of Hive. I understand what you mean sir and I also agree with your suggestions 

Hive is a decentralized platform and to have a leader means going against the principle of decentralized technology. I respect the views of those who think that we need a leader but then we will stop telling the world that hive is decentralized. I know majority of the network today are not decentralized and most of them have leaders but they are in the form of stakeholders and as hive is following  DPoS the person who have more hive power automatically becomes priority #1 in making decisions for the chain.

Maybe a temporary leadership can be a good term that can be used here. A temporary team that works together to bring what's missing in hive and once achieved we can let the chain live forever without any central entity claiming to be the leader.  

I think if we were to choose a leader to represent us I would choose based on the following criteria:
1. Ability to state the case for Hive in a way that would bring Hive mainstream 
2. Needs to be a major Hive Stakeholder
3. Leadership ability

I heard @blocktrades speak on Hive podcast he definitely fits the first two. Third one I just don't have any information about, but he sounded like he does have it.

I don't know about the leader of the Hive blockchain, but as you mentioned at the end of your blog, a strong leader who can land safely at a price of 20 dollars per token for the Hive token. To be honest, I think that is something really difficult considering that the market is maturing throughout the year. In the next four years, we can expect the market to be more mature than before.

Right now, as you can see in the screenshot I have shared, the market cap of the Hive blockchain, or more specifically, the Hive token, is 92 million dollars. For it to reach 20 dollars, we would have to move up by 100 times, or 100x, so that Hive is at or close to that price. I think it will be very difficult but lets see what the future holds for us. I hope the best for this blockchain as well it's token.

I am torn between the slow grind of decentralized leadership & community building and a centralized group making up leadership.  These days, it isn't hard to imagine core values and a constitution being turned aside when the wrong people are included in a centralized leadership group for the wrong reasons.  Still, people will do what you inspect and not what you expect so a compensated body with roles and objectives to deliver upon would be a hook on which to hang larger progress and development.

If value of token is the primary driver, then some centralized and accountable leadership mechanism is needed.  I think it might overshadow some of the other core values that are the foundation of Hive in the name of profit.  

So, Helpers should seek out the helpers here and lead.  We are the leaders and the older ones of us know the stink of Justin Sun for example.
