Hi my lovely hivers! This is my frist post in this community, happy to be a part of it!  :) These past few days, I’ve finished reading a beautiful thriller by author <b><i>Carlene Thompson: Tonight you’re mine.</i></b> I love to cuddle me after eating, with a sweet and reading. I liked it very much, so I decided to write some lines to share with you!

<i>Author Carlene Thompson</i> delights us with a psychological-sentimental thriller set today in <i>West Virginia</i>.
The plot, captivating and never taken for granted, always keeps the attention of the reader awake who, precisely for this reason, can not get away from the pages because the mysteries, the background of which the book is pregnant, stimulate his curiosity continuously.

The protagonist is a beautiful and courageous woman,<i> Nicole</i>, haunted by her past with which she must always confront herself through twists and turns . As she goes on reading, <i>Nicole</i> is increasingly sucked into a vortex of mysteries, fears and shadows of the past and for this reason, she is forced to commit to save her life and, above all, not to endanger that of her beloved daughter. <i>Nicole</i> is a happy girl because she is living a beautiful love story with <i>Paul</i>, a young classical music talent. One night, after a meeting with <i>Paul</i>, returning home, an event happens, which will change their lives forever. <i>Nicole</i>, in fact, is attacked, raped and, just for the chance of a car, is not killed. Later, the rapists, belonging to an emerging rock group, are killed and found in mysterious circumstances. His beloved <i>Paul</i>, accused of the double murder, disappears and later dies in a mysterious accident. The trauma suffered and always present in her mind, leads her, after a few years, to try to get a life again by getting married and becoming the mother of a beautiful child: Shelley.

But his coveted tranquility is shaken by the unexplained and sudden suicide of his father around which mysterious scenarios will orbit. The death of his father will be the forerunner of a blood trail that will persecute <i>Nicole</i>: a series of brutal and mysterious murders will revolve around, because, the victims are all people who with her had more or less serious altercations. Thus his sad past, linked to the rape, reappears, which is charged more and more with shadows and dark sides.
Also, as I said, that the victims are all part of his circle, the circumstances surrounding them do not leave you quiet, indeed, all the events: phone calls, threats and frightening apparitions, They’re pushing <i>Nicole</i> more and more to think that she might be next on the list.
So <i>Nicole</i>, will begin to doubt all the people who are next to her and will wonder, more and more insistently, if he really knows them so well and if he really knew in depth even those that are part of his past with a clear reference to his father and <i>Paul</i>.

The relationship between<i>Nicole</i> and her past is rich in many dark sides and, if on the one hand there is fear, on the other there is the challenge of wanting, at all costs, to reach the truth whatever it may be. Thus, a succession of surprises and twists flow before our eyes resulting, in the story, wisely arranged; they capture our attention and push us to question, after collecting all kinds of information, about who might be the killer and, especially because it acts. Here, as in other books of the author, there are pets, those same that she loves to surround herself in her private life, in fact she lives in a farm in Point Pleasant, in <i>West Virginia</i>, surrounded by greenery, which looks like an animal hotel for those who have, passionate. The author, in the book, uses, in fact, the presence of a mysterious Dobermann who appears constantly at times when the protagonist needs more help. The same, in fact, will save the life of the other animal present in the book: little Jesse, the dog of <i>Nicole</i>’s family, to which his daughter Shelley, is very close.
Everything is presented with a brilliant writing, flowing, fluent, not verbose with short and clear periods and for this very reason more direct. The dialogues are interspersed with descriptions of both the characters and their actions. All this captures us and the fear and mystery of which the pages are rich impel us to pursue voraciously the reading. The plot leaves us, so, glued to the book arriving at an unimaginable end, never taken for granted, preceded by a thousand questions. His happy ending once again testifies to the victory of love over hatred by revealing, outside of every dictate, a culprit and a motivation where the human mind would not succeed in arriving, even if it were assisted by the most fervent imagination. The writer, once again, manages, so, to hold the world that tells making it anguishing and mysterious so as to give us hours of pleasant and exciting entertainment and for this I recommend it to everyone reading.

Ciao miei amati amici! Questo è il mio primo post in questa community, di cui sono felice di farne parte! :) In questi ultimi giorni, ho finito di leggere un bellissimo thriller dell’autrice <i><b>Carlene Thompson</b></i>: Stanotte sei mia. Di solito, amo coccolarmi dopo aver mangiato, con un bel dolcetto e leggendo un po’. Mi è piaciuto molto questo libro, per questo ho deciso di scrivere qualche riga e condividerla con voi!
L’autrice <i>Carlene Thompson</i> ci delizia con un thriller psicologico-sentimentale ambientato ai giorni nostri nel <i>West Virginia</i>.
La trama, avvincente e mai scontata, tiene sempre sveglia l’attenzione del lettore che, proprio per questo, non riesce a staccarsi dalle pagine perché i misteri, i retroscena di cui il libro è pregno, stimolano la sua curiosità continuamente. 
La protagonista è una bella e coraggiosa donna, <i>Nicole</i>, perseguitata dal suo passato con il quale, in un crescendo di colpi di scena, nell’evolversi del libro, è costretta a fare i conti. Andando avanti nella lettura, <i>Nicole</i> è sempre più risucchiata in un vortice fatto di misteri, paure ed ombre del passato e proprio per questo, si trova costretta ad impegnarsi per salvare la propria vita e, soprattutto, per non mettere in pericolo quella della sua amata figlia. <i>Nicole</i> è una ragazza felice perché sta vivendo una bellissima storia d’amore con <i>Paul</i>, un giovane talento di musica classica. Una sera, dopo un incontro con <i>Paul</i>, tornando a casa, le accade un evento, che cambierà per sempre le loro vite. <i>Nicole</i>, infatti, viene aggredita, stuprata e, solo per il casuale sopraggiungere di un automobile, non viene uccisa. 
In seguito, gli stupratori, appartenenti ad un emergente gruppo rock, vengono uccisi e rinvenuti in circostanze misteriose. Il suo amato <i>Paul</i>, accusato del duplice omicidio, scompare e, successivamente, muore in un misterioso incidente. Il trauma subito e sempre presente nella sua mente, la porta, dopo qualche anno, a provare a rifarsi una vita sposandosi e diventando mamma di una splendida bambina: Shelley.
Ma la sua agognata tranquillità viene scossa dall’inspiegabile ed improvviso suicidio del padre intorno al quale orbiteranno misteriosi scenari. La morte del padre sarà l’antesignana di una scia di sangue che perseguiterà <i>Nicole</i>: una serie di efferati e misteriosi omicidi le ruoterà intorno, in quanto, le vittime sono tutte persone che con lei avevano avuto alterchi più o meno gravi. Riaffiora, così, il suo triste passato, legato allo stupro il quale si carica sempre più di ombre e lati oscuri. Inoltre, dato, come già detto, che le vittime fanno parte tutte della sua cerchia, le circostanze a loro legate non la lasciano tranquilla, anzi, tutti gli accadimenti: telefonate, minacce e apparizioni spaventose, la spingono sempre più a pensare che lei possa essere la prossima della lista. Così <i>Nicole</i>, comincerà a dubitare di tutte le persone che le sono accanto e si chiederà, sempre più insistentemente, se davvero le conosce così bene e se davvero conosceva a fondo anche quelle che fanno parte del suo passato con un chiaro riferimento al padre e a <i>Paul</i>.
Il rapporto tra <i>Nicole</i> e il suo passato è ricco di tanti lati oscuri e, se da una parte c’è la paura, dall’altra c’è la sfida di voler, a tutti i costi, raggiungere la verità qualunque essa sia. Così, un susseguirsi di sorprese e colpi di scena ci scorrono sotto gli occhi risultando, nel racconto, sapientemente disposti; catturano la nostra attenzione e ci spingono ad interrogarci, dopo aver raccolto ogni tipo di informazione, su chi possa essere l’assassino e, soprattutto perché agisce. Anche qui, come in altri libri dell’autrice, sono presenti animali domestici, quegli stessi di cui lei ama circondarsi nella sua vita privata, infatti vive in una fattoria a Point Pleasant, in <i>West Virginia</i>, immersa nel verde, che sembra un albergo degli animali per quanti ne ha, essendone appassionata. L’autrice, nel libro, si avvale, infatti, della presenza di un misterioso Dobermann che compare costantemente nei momenti in cui la protagonista ha più bisogno di aiuto. Lo stesso, infatti, salverà la vita dell’altro animale presente nel libro: il piccolo Jesse, il cagnolino della famiglia di <i>Nicole</i>, al quale sua figlia Shelley, è molto legata.

Tutto viene presentato con una scrittura brillante, scorrevole, fluente, non prolissa con periodi brevi e chiari e proprio per questo più diretti. I dialoghi, sono intervallati da descrizioni sia dei personaggi che delle loro azioni. Tutto questo ci cattura e la paura ed il mistero di cui le pagine sono ricche ci spingono a proseguire voracemente la lettura. La trama ci lascia, così, incollati al libro arrivando ad un finale inimmaginabile, mai scontato, preceduto per questo da mille interrogativi. Il suo lieto fine testimonia ancora una volta la vittoria dell’amore sull’odio rivelando, al di fuori da ogni dettame, un colpevole ed una motivazione laddove la mente umana non riuscirebbe ad arrivare, anche se fosse assistita dalla più fervida immaginazione.
La scrittrice, ancora una volta, riesce, così, a tenere in pugno il mondo che racconta rendendolo angosciante e misterioso tanto da regalarci ore di piacevole ed avvincente svago e per questo ne consiglio a tutti la lettura.
