These plants include perennial deciduous shrubs or small trees, plant height of 2-6 meters. Smooth, pale, bare bark. The whole plant is poisonous. Male petals are 2-3 mm long, almost round, female petals are the same as 5 male petals, spoon-shaped house one single flower, house one flowering period from July to December.

Tumbuhan ini termasuk Semak gugur abadi atau pohon kecil, tinggi tanaman 2-6 meter. Kulit batang halus, pucat,gundul. Seluruh tanaman beracun. Daun lembut berwarna ungu-merah, dan hijau bagian belakang daun berwarna ungu-merah. Daun tunggal berseling, hampir kasar, tangkai daun panjang 10-25 cm, berbulu, ungu-merah stipula terbagi menjadi bulu Bentuk, sekitar 2 cm panjang.
Menurut beberapa sumber yang saya baca tumbuhan ini Saat mekar, sering ada lebih banyak bunga jantan dan lebih sedikit bunga betina.
Bunganya berwarna merah, panjang kelopak bunga jantan sekitar 4 mm, dan panjang kelopak bunga betina sekitar 6-7 mm. tangkai bunga panjang, berbulu, bercabang di atas tengah. Kelopak jantan panjangnya 2-3 mm, hampir bulat, kelopak betina sama kelopak jantan 5, berbentuk sendok berumah satu bunga berkelamin tunggal, berumah satu periode berbunga dari Juli hingga Desember.
