It's a branch of engineering, which combines the core of mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical along with the computer programming.

Most of the big manufacturing machines today is a combination of all these engineering.

In fact pneumatics and hydraulic system also a major part of the machine design today.

Let's talk about a press machine. Today hardly you will find a press machine with old technology and most of them are hydraulic powered.

The main focus here is to make the things automatic with higher accuracy and eliminating the involvement of human.

For example a robot is a perfect example of Mechatronics. A commission of every possible field of engineering, from manufacturing till programming.

With the advance of technology, e are able to manufacture more complex machine, though it's resulting in throwing human out of job.

So mechatronics really have a huge scope in near future and going to be very demanding.
