Piedra Sonriente. Breve reflexión
=

Caminando por las veredas de la Huasteca me encontré con una piedra que parecía sonreír. Al menos desde la perspectiva que yo la estaba viendo parecía la cabeza sonriente de algún animal prehistórico.

Por supuesto mi primer impulso fue fotografiarla, pero luego me pregunté. ¿Será también que mi estado de ánimo contribuyó para verla en forma especial? Bueno, una roca solo está quieta, no significa nada a menos que decidamos darle algún significado.

De la misma manera, una gran parte de las situaciones que enfrentamos en la vida dependen mucho de como las interpretemos, de que valor les queramos dar en un momento determinado. Como decía mi madre, "Considera las cosas del tamaño que son y nada mas". Con esto me decía que le diera a cada situación la importancia que realmente tiene, desde mi perspectiva, tratando de reducir el impacto que otros quieran imprimirle cuando sea en mi perjuicio.

Del mismo modo que minimizar el impacto de lo negativo es recomendable, también es buena idea maximizar el impacto de los acontecimientos positivos, costumbre que nos permitirá ir acrecentando nuestro repertorio de buenas experiencias. Siempre es mas agradable convivir con alguien que acostumbre ver el lado positivo.

Por eso yo tomé mi cámara y le tomé una foto a esta hermosa piedra sonriente. Hasta mañana

Smiling Stone. Brief reflection
=

While walking through the paths of the Huasteca I came across a stone that seemed to smile. At least from the perspective that I was looking at it, it looked like the smiling head of some prehistoric animal.

Of course my first impulse was to photograph it, but then I wondered. Could it also be that my positive mood contributed to seeing it in a special way? Well, a rock is just a rock, it doesn’t mean anything unless we decide to give it some meaning.

In the same way, a large part of the situations that we face in life depend a lot on how we interpret them, on what value we want to give them at a given moment. As my mother used to say, “Consider things the size they are and nothing more.” With this, she told me to give each situation the importance it really has from my perspective, trying to reduce the impact that others want to impress on it when it is to my detriment.

In the same way that minimizing the impact of the negative is recommended, it is also a good idea to maximize the impact of positive events, a habit that will allow us to increase our repertoire of good experiences. It is always more pleasant to live with someone who is used to seeing the positive side.

So, I took my camera and took a photo of this beautiful smiling stone. Until tomorrow
