Materials needed :
Chunky yarn
Crochet needle 5.5 
Tapestry needle
Lining cloth and tailor needle with thread
Filling material like cotton or any other

This could probably be the easiest project you would ever have done. It involves crocheting till you reach the desired length. 

I started making a long chain and continued doing half-double crochet after which I sewed three sides using the same yarn and a tapestry needle. You can also crochet the sides. 

I then measured a cotton lining cloth to fit inside. I then sewed the three sides and filled it with the polyfill I had bought from Amazon. The lining cloth is light cotton material and I quickly stitched the fourth side. 

The lining cloth with the fill was placed inside and the fourth side of the chunky yarn pillow was also sewn using the same yarn with the help of the tapestry needle. 

Mine is a small pillow. It is only a sample I wanted to test before making for others if there is a demand for it after seeing mine. 

I used a lining cloth for filling because I did not want any filling to ooze out of the crochet work. If you are a crocheter, you will know that there will be gaps between the stitches no matter how close the stitches are. Also, the filling could cause allergy or breathing problems in sensitive people.

You might think that this is a silly project. I am still learning and even this seemed formidable to me. So, each small project is a mark of achievement and can boost confidence like no other. 

The great Republic Day sale is going on in Amazon. So, you can get yarn for cheap. Besides, I also saw a video on YouTube that showed a traditional shopkeeper selling all types of yarn for cheap in New Delhi. He ships to customers all over the country. I have not yet bought from him.
