Every rubber tree farmer would know one thing - that if you do not upturn the cup that receives the rubber milk during the rainy season, it will enable mosquito farming, lol. So, people who live on farm houses will be careful not to let stagnant water be because it will attract mosquitoes that lay larvae and thus lead to diseases like dengue, malaria etc.

The first duty of every farmer or farmhand is to make sure that water doesn't remain stagnant on any part of the farm. Care should also be taken to clean the areas around the animal sheds and to check for snakes and other such wild animals. A clean farmhouse will always be safer than one that has wild grass growth. 

Rats can also infest dirty places. So, always be on the lookout for it and destroy its habitats. Rats can attract snakes and other predators, too, and this can be harmful to the cattle as well. 

Cattle farming has many challenges, and one of them is attack by animals. So, an extra step of cleaning the farmhouse is always good.

One may never expect it, but diseases in cows can also spread through the unclean hands of farmhands. When a farmhand who works in different farms possibly comes in contact with a sick cow and then visits another farm and handles other cows, he or she can be a carrier, and thus diseases are spread fast, especially if it is a virus-borne disease. There have been cases where a cattle owner lost 40 cows in one day because of such an incident. Such days are really painful. So, one must be careful when dealing with animals on farms. 

Growing plants is good, but care must be taken not to grow plants near cattle sheds, as it can be a breeding ground for pests. Banana plants can also attract snakes and bats. Keeping the ground near the cattle shed dry is most important. So, the cow dung should be handled properly and must be disposed of in pits or used to generate bio-gas. 

Spraying mosquito repellents and other herbal pest killers inside cattle sheds is a good idea and can keep away pests. 

If a cattle farm is maintained properly, it can be a very profitable business.
