Proverbs 31:8-9 "Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court, for the Lord will take up their case and will exact life for life"
The poor are people that lacks many things, that the rich people does but always hope of a better tomorrow with the help of God.
Many rich people make use of the poor as a stepping stone to either their position or by acquiring riches. 

CAUSES OF POVERTY

* BAD LEADER

A bad leader is the great corruptionist using his richness to get permanent power over the poor . A bad leader is also one that  tries hard to rule the government by bending all the constitution to his own favour alone.
Many leaders has take the poor to be so inferior and they continue to deny them of their right.
The population of bad leaders in our society has lead to an increment in population of poverty. Where people has been without jobs, less fund, no house to live, no help from every corner, some only eat just once per day but a bad leader still collect the little they had,  forcefully.

* PROCRASTINATION

Procrastination is something we all fall victim of  from time to time and God has also warned us not  to procrastinate our task, to avoid poverty and this occur when laziness set in which make us to put off the tasks at hand. Many has also started procrastinating the time of prayer  due to laziness and some christian taught they have know all the word of God, so they procrastinate the studying of Gods word and power of darkness begins to torment them.

* LAZINESS

My dad will say that laziness is a diseases, that make someone a dead being regardless of his/her status. Many people has been so fervent in there work but they got set back with what they've acquired and became lazy to fulfill their task. Many prayer warrior has been so strong in prayer and heal many sickness, cast out demons but due to laziness, they've been dropped to level zero in prayer. Seek God when you can find him avoid laziness.

HOW GOD HELP THE POOR 

He help them by fighting for them (blood for blood) because God never joke with the situation of the poor.
For those extorting money from the poor, the lord will fight for them mightily and collect what belongs to them.
