After getting out of the TWLO trade (too early might I add) there was some free trading capital sitting idle. I'd been poking around all week and finally decided I liked what I saw with Amazon's stock chart. https://i.imgur.com/FWs1Aqz.png #### PMCC Initiated: Reasons I like this trade: + Amazon is an in ascending channel and has rallied off the 50 day moving average for a third time in the past month or so. Thus, I entered a poor man's covered call by buying the April 2024 130 Call Option and selling the 9/15/23 140 weekly option. Net debit of trade was 18.83. Goal is to sell weeklies for income or take profit if amazon runs past 140 in the next week. If the stock breaks below the 50 day I may reconsider the position. #### Long time but sometimes a short time... When I initiate these trades, they are entered with the intention that I will hold them for several months. However, sometimes a stock just rallies on you and next thing you know the trade is at max profit for that specific option combo and you are out in a week or tow. Interesting, I haven't seen the Poor Man's Covered CAll in print as a strategy for a while. But you sound like you use this strategy effectively. Good for you. I drifted away from options and fell into the crypto rabbit hole. I need to get back into it for the coming bull run.
