Tethers, Margin, Spoofing and Bitcoin Oh My!
Some interesting analysis in regard to tethers, margin and the movement of bitcoin in this article.

## Spike in Tethers and Margin Lending
The article analysis the large spike in tethers created July 11th to the 18th and then the subsequent rip in BTC we have seen.  I have circled the period of time of the chart before the rip.

## $80 Million Tethers created.

I will openly admit, I had no clue what a tether was in relation to BTC until I read this article.  From my understanding it seems thether can be used to generate money.  That money can then be used to get margin trade BTC on bitfinex, in the case of the article.

Furthermore, with all of this "sort of real, sort of not" money there is incentive to spoof the market of BTC.   Meaning place large bid orders to help drive up the price of BTC (or any asset).

It's all very interesting indeed and though I am familiar with the concepts, when it comes to it within the world of crypto I am still a bit noobish.

Nope, like I said never ever heard of it until reading that article.  As of right now it looks like it works great if you know how to leverage it.  

Kind of like how some of the BTC pyramid type things are working great right now because it's early stages.   :-)

The thing is, with no regulation or oversight there are negatives too.  I am pro decentralization but people need to accept the bad with the good.   The practices discussed in that article or illegal in equity markets for a reason.

not really sure about tethers, but I can see how people are driving the price of Bitcoin up.  I still think we have a lot more room for upside, but peppered with corrections....Not sure how high this current rally has in it.  I am deciding the rebuy in a little more but I don't want to allocate before a correction.

I hear that man.   The thing is too, if there is funny business going on its really not a big deal because I still think its early in the game, so its just a matter of taking some profits on the ride up.

I remember when the U.S. markets banned spoofing.....I knew day traders that did it as a strategy with lower liquid stocks before then.

On another note - I bought some more NEO on the dip we had past couple days.
