***A team of Dutch entrepreneurs is trying to get finance for a project of automatic transcription of conversations of multiple people in real-time.***

How does it work? Actually, it’s pretty simple. Each person in the discussion gets a microphone that records their words. Those are then shown on a cell phone as chat. Anyone can thus see what exactly is being said, including deaf people. Jari Hezelbach, the CEO of the company came up with the idea because both of his parents have problems with their hearing. Giving them and millions of others around the world the chance to be fully involved in conversations.

The magic with SpeakSee, again, is in using individual microphones for each speaker. Each person’s words are displayed on a screen of either a cell phone or a tablet in a different color so you can easily distinguish who is speaking. The technology that made all of this possible uses recent improvements in using artificial intelligence to recognize speech. And quality microphones capable of isolating each person's individual speech and filter out any background noise help as well.
