Ну що ж, прийшов час продовжити дописи на тему того, як мені живеться в новому місті. [Минулого разу](https://peakd.com/hive-165469/@scrodinger/one-and-a-half-months-in-odesa-what-i-like-and-what-is-strange-part-1-en-ua) я розповіла про різницю між Ужгородом та Одесою в плані кількості людей та розмірів міста, а також зачепила тему української мови і транспорту.

До речі, в Одесі є цікава традиція, котру забула згадати. В громадському транспорті тут розраховуються не на вході, а в кінці поїздки. Здається це єдине місто в Україні де діє саме такий метод розрахунку. Сьогодні поговоримо на нові теми та мої спостереження з приводу цього.

> By the way, there is an interesting tradition in Odesa that I forgot to mention. In public transport here are calculated not at the entrance, but at the end of the trip. It seems to be the only city in Ukraine where such a method of calculation operates. Today we will talk about new topics and my observations on this. 
 
### <center> Тварини в Одесі / Animals in Odesa </center>
Перш за все нагадаю, що на сьогоднішній день я живу з двома прекрасними собачками - Кіра Олександрівна та Шелдон Лі Купер. І погодьтесь, вони виглядають так, ніби є братом та сестрою. Кожного разу на прогулянці ми ловимо привітні погляди частини перехожих, а ще слова "Ой, які красені у вас!". 

>First of all, let me remind you that today I live with two beautiful dogs - Kira Alexandrovna and Sheldon Lee Cooper. And agree, they look like a brother and sister. Every time we walk, we catch the friendly glances of some passers-by, as well as the words "Oh, how beautiful your dogs!".

Найсмішніше, коли я стримую собак, щоб не лізли нюхати перехожих та кажу їм "Не чіпляйтесь до людей", а у відповідь чую щось на кшталт "Ой, хай чіпляються, вони такі прекрасні!". Одна жіночка, навіть, розчарувалась, що дівчинка у нас стерилізована та цуциків не буде 😂

>The funniest thing is when I restrain dogs from sniffing passers-by and tell them "Don't cling to people", and in response, I hear something like "Oh, let them cling, they are so beautiful!". One woman was even disappointed that our girl was sterilized and there would be no puppies 😂

А тепер про інших тварин. Почнем з котів. Вони тут всюди. В прямому сенсі цього слова. Ще з сершої поїздки в Одесу я зрозуміла головне правило туриста - не намагайся сфотографувати всіх котів, котрих бачих дорогою. Просто напросто пам'ять в смартфоні закінчиться набагато швидше, аніж коти. 

>And now about other animals. Let's start with cats. They are everywhere. In the literal sense of the word. From the first trip to Odesa, I understood the main rule of a tourist - do not try to take pictures of all the cats you see on the road. It's just that the memory in a smartphone will run out much faster than cats.

До речі, ще у 2017 році котів визнали частиною екосистеми міста. Одним із факторів прийняття такого рішення було те, що наявність котів на вулицях сприяє стримуванню темпів зростання інфекційних захворювань. 

>By the way, back in 2017, cats were recognized as part of the city's ecosystem. One of the factors in making this decision was that the presence of cats on the streets helps to curb the growth rate of infectious diseases.

Проект забороняє вилов вуличних котів, крім тих випадків, коли вони загрожують життю й здоров’ю людей. Керівникам департаментів, управлінь та комунальних установ забороняється замикати котів у підвалах та інших приміщеннях, що може привести до їхньої загибелі. А департаменту екології міськради пропонується зменшити кількість бездомних тварин шляхом стерилізації.

>The project prohibits the capture of stray cats, except when they endanger human life and health. Heads of departments, offices and utilities are prohibited from locking cats in basements and other premises, which could lead to their death. And the Department of Ecology of the City Council is proposed to reduce the number of stray animals by sterilization.

Що я бачу насправді? А насправді я бачу, що в місті присутня величезна кількість будиночків для котів, практично на кожному кроці є миски з водою та кормом, як для котів, так і для собак, а також величезна кількість небайдужих людей, котрі годують, лікують та намагаються знайти сім'ю для безпритульних чотирилапих. 

>What do I really see? In fact, I see that the city has a huge number of houses for cats, almost every step there are bowls of water and food for both cats and dogs, as well as a huge number of caring people who feed, treat and try to find seven for homeless four-legged.

Якщо говорити про собачок, то також є безпритульні особини, але мене дуже тішить те, що на прогулянці можна зустріти абсолютно різних за статусом та виглядом людей у яких на повідку саме такі песики. Тут досить активно беруть в сім'ю тварин з вулиці. Якщо порівнювати Ужгород та Одесу, то в цьому питанні я ставлю величезний плюс саме останнім. 

>If we talk about dogs, there are also homeless individuals, but I am very pleased that on a walk you can meet completely different in status and appearance of people who have such dogs on a leash. Here quite actively take in a family of animals from the street. If you compare Uzhhorod and Odesa, then in this regard, I put a huge plus on the latter.

Звичайно, є і ті хто намагається боротись із тваринами на вулиці жорстокими методами, а саме розкиданням отрути. Для таких людей передбачений окремий котел в пеклі. 

>Of course, there are those who try to fight animals on the street by cruel methods, namely by scattering poison. A separate cauldron in the hell is provided for such people.

### <center> Дозвілля / Leisure </center>
Головне дозвілля в Одесі, звичайно, море. В теплий період року сюди можна приїхати та посидіти в кафе із видом на море, або, взагалі, спуститись на берег та сидіти біля води. 

>The main leisure in Odesa, of course, the sea. In the warm season you can come here and sit in a cafe overlooking the sea, or, in general, go down to the beach and sit by the water.

Якщо говорити про інші види проведення вільного часу, то варто зазначити велику кількість парків із обладнаними місцями для відпочинку, кафешками та різними майданчиками, як для дорослих, так і для дітей. 

>If we talk about other types of leisure, it is worth noting a large number of parks with equipped places for recreation, cafes and various playgrounds, both for adults and children.

Окремо зазначу, що практично кожного дня у місті щось відбувається. Це і концерти, і екскурсії, і вистави, і просто дійства посеред міста такі, як наявність аніматорів чи вуличних музикантів. Ну, наприклад, ось фрагмент звичайного вечора в будній день неподалік Оперного:

Зізнаюсь чесно, в Ужгороді таку кількість людей я бачила хіба на день міста чи під час ярмарок 😂 

>I confess honestly, in Uzhhorod I saw so many people only on the day of the city or during fairs 😂

### <center> Чистота / Purity </center>
Тут, напевно, як і в кожному місті все 50 на 50. З однієї сторони є багато смітників в туристичних зонах, вулиці прибирають у всьому місті, двірники працюють, як треба. Навіть, неподалік від мого будинку кожного ранку підмітали опавше листя. А це по ведикому рахунку спальний район. В Ужгороді таке побачиш рідко. 

>Here, probably, as well as in each city all 50 on 50. On the one hand, there are many dumps in tourist zones, streets clean all city, janitors work as it is necessary. Even, not far from my house, fallen leaves were swept every morning. And this is by and large a sleeping area. You will rarely see this in Uzhhorod.

З іншої сторони, звичайно, є і проблеми. На площадках, біля гаражів, між будинками можна побачити купи сміття, котрі не так часто прибирають. А ще досить багато пилу, як від будівництв, так і від інших факторів. В білих кросівках тут не довго погуляєш. Але, якщо підводити в загальному, то місто досить чисте. Я поставила б 7 з 10. 

>On the other hand, of course, there are problems. On the sites, near the garages, between the houses, you can see piles of garbage, which are not so often cleaned. And quite a lot of dust, both from construction and from other factors. You can't walk here in white sneakers for long. But, to sum up, in general, the city is quite clean. I would put 7 out of 10.
