I see alot of people who I assume take articles in their native language, and then Google translate it into english so that the Cheetah bot don't catch them plagiarizing.

Some guy posted an interesting article that I commented on since it's related to my cultural heritage, and when we started conversing, the guys native was CLEARLY not english and he copied and pasted the content from somewhere else. I looked at his profile and he's posting 10 articles an hour using Google translate.

It should be done for the betterment of community.

@sean-king. I think this is a great idea. Pirated material would simply drown out any original material. 

I would like to make clear that I've referred to the pictures I've made, and that otherwise they are free to use from pixabay. 


It might also be nice if you were to post a warning to first time offenders. rather than immediately flagging them.

Since steemit pays the articles/comments i think the ONLY think that we allowed for sure to use is CC0 licence related things.

The  plagiarists get butthurt when called out. 'Tis amusing to see. They think Steemit is their cash cow to be milked however they want. I would upvote this, but I found it too late and upvotes are barred in the last few hours.

Steemit has always had a culture of original content, and I'd really like that to continue. I report / downvote plagiarism in my areas of interest when I come across it, and I hope everyone else will do it too.

IMO when the feed is flooded with spammy content that has enticing headlines It's harder for people posting original content to get clicks.

I posted something the other day and within seconds it was way down the list beneath a bunch of old YouTube videos people are re-posting.

Thank you! I podcast with a woman who makes her living fulfilling people's fantasies in video performances.  She's invested a lot into lighting, sets, and audio/video equipment. She's quite good at what she does, and she deserves to be fairly compensated for her work. That's why it's behind a paywall in the first place.  It still manages to show up on free sites without her consent, unfortunately.

From what I understand, this platform does not support plagiarism. Thanks for enforcing that standard.
