Yea you are right though on many levels... "quality over quantity" is the steemit creed

I think it helps to stick to  the same theme throughout... if you are a descriptive writer ( like me) its good to stick to that. Same with tutorial based, food reviewer, travel blogger etc. Then you are getting the correct followers who have similar interest to you.
You really gotta stick with it too. Do it for the enjoyment. For me, I love having all my writing in one place. IT has been years since I have done that.plus its on the blockchain, so its there for good. =)
perseverance is key. & writing about something you ACTUALLY care about.

Good advice. I make sure that all my posts are 100% original, I take all my own photos and write all my own text.  I'm still new to Steemit, but I'm in it for the long haul.  Gave you a vote for this post.

I agree! Quality content is a whale on steemit. But what is a quality content? A quality post is an article that bring solution to a certain problem, or answering a question, or entertaining the reader, or a research that is based on factual truth, and so on. Ideas are out there waiting to be uncover. 

Does it enough to be called quality content? Yes, but for it to become so called quality content, it should be 100% unique and covering at-least 300 words. 

You can use some online tools such as http://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/ to check if your content is unique.

I totally agree, quality over quantity any time. When you comment on a post, don't just say nice! upvoted.  Show the person that you really read their post by writing a meaningful reply.

I have just made one year on Steemit and I agree with you 100%. When I first joined I had no idea of what to expect and just thought I would throw together some content and make some money. It wasn't until I took time to write my posts and add some quality content that people started to engage. This also goes with commenting. I always try to comment with something valuable to the post. One quality post is better then 10 copy and paste crap!

What is Steemit and what does it have the potential to be? Well let me answer that from my point of view. To me Steemit is this amazing platform that I just discovered that has the ability to connect likeminded individuals and even act as a teaching tool for so many. To get the views, explanations and daily updates on a specific topic you are interested in is something someone could get more value out of then going to college. Then there is the ability to earn money with your post which just adds to the value of this platform.


Now how do I become successful and start on the path to becoming a so called whale? Well from what I have seen there are a few ways to do this and properly. The most important thing to do is to post original and high QUALITY content everyday.

I  really agree with what you have mentioned here. Well in any field of life if you stay original you will go a long way. Same is the case here, if you post your own original thought its likely to engage more people on here than a post which is copied from somewhere else. We should look at this amazing platform that we have as a key to long term success. All in all i would suggest to post your thought people will follow you and on the side we can get some financial benefit.

$$$ is just a bonus! ^^ That's what I believe... Because of steemit, I was able to improve my poems and artworks.. it's so nice to Know likeminded people who are very encouraging and supportive to people of the same craft.. :)

I'm constantly having to unfollow people who clog up my feed with single pictures or memes they copied and pasted.
