Last month, I got really interested in [Blockstack](https://blockstack.org/) after listening to an interview on the [Unchained podcast](https://www.forbes.com/podcasts/unchained/#444ce69e5b4f) and started playing around with their logon tutorial. I was a disappointed to discover that it was difficult to go very far beyond that since the authentication process relied on having the Blockstack browser installed and, at that point, the browser was not easily available for Windows.
Now, as of [version 0.16.0](https://github.com/blockstack/blockstack-browser/releases), there is a developer version of the browser with a Windows installer that sets up Docker environment.
I'm stoked by the idea of an authentication solution that web developers could easily deploy without falling back to the current offerings of Google and Facebook, which make it easy without having to roll my own authentication service. The problem is Google and Facebook then know everyone who's logging into your app/site.
Anyone had any experience working with Blockstack?
Can't wait to get back to playing around!
