Shahi toast Shahi tukda can also be called custard pudding. It is an Indian dessert which is made from toast. It is a kind of pudding. It can be easily prepared at home. Ingredients: - 1) Toast 10-12 2) Milk 1/2 liter 3) Custard powder 2-3 spoons 4) Sugar 1 cup 5) Coconut powder 1 cup 6) Water 1 cup 7) Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon 8) Saffron 5-6 pieces 8) Cashews, almonds and pistachios as required To make syrup: - First of all, put 1/2 cup sugar in a vessel, add 1/2 cup water and mix.  And put it on the gas to heat. After the syrup starts boiling and the sugar melts, after cooking for 2 minutes, check the syrup. A small 1/2 string should come out of the syrup. That means we have to prepare 1/2 string syrup. In this, add saffron, cardamom powder  and mix well.   To make custard milk :- Put milk in a pan and keep it to heat. Add 2 spoons of sugar in it. Till this mixture thickens completely  Till then turn off the gas and let it cool down Now keep the toast in a container  Then spread it on top of all the toast Pour the prepared syrup  Then add custard milk and spread coconut powder on it and add some cashew nuts, almonds and pistachios as well  Now keep the toast again in the same way and repeat the same process  Means it has to be made in two layers and then garnish it with all the dry fruits and coconut powder.  Now we will keep it in the fridge to cool down  Take it out after 4-5 hours  Eat and serve as a dessert or as a sweet or as a pudding Translation Shahi tost शाही टुकड़ा को कस्टर्ड पुडिंग भी कहा जा सकता है यह एक भारतीय मिठाई है जो कि टोस्ट से बनाई जाती है यह एक तरह का पुडिंग है यह आसानी से घर पर तैयार हो सकती है सामग्री :- १) टोस्ट १०- १२ २) मिल्क १/२ लीटर ३) कस्टर्ड पाउडर २-३ स्पून ४) चीनी १ कप ५) कोकोनट पाउडर १ कप ६) पानी १ कप ७) इलाइची पाउडर १ चम्मच ८) केसर ५-६ पीस ८) काजू, बादाम और पिस्ता आवश्यकतानुसार चाशनी बनाने के लिये:- सबसे पहले १/२ कप चीनी को किसी बर्तन में डालकर १/२ कप पानी डालके मिलाएँगे  और गैस पर गरम होने के लिये रख देंगे चाशनी में उबाल आने और चीनी गलने के बाद २ मिनिट पकने के बाद चाशनी को चेक कर लेंगे चाशनी में छोटा सा १/२ तार निकलना चाहिये यानी हमे १/२ तार की चाशनी बनाकर तैयार करनी है इसी के अंदर केसर, इलायची पाउडर  डालकर अच्छी तरह से मिला लेंगे   कस्टर्ड मिल्क बनाने के लिये :- पेन में दूध डालकर गरम होने के लिये रख देंगे इसमें २ स्पून चीनी भी डाल देंगे  एक कटोरी में थोड़ा सा दूध ले के उसमे कस्टर्ड पाउडर डाल  कर मिक्स कर लेंगे  अब दूध में मिक्स किया हुआ कस्टर्ड पाउडर डालकर उबलते हुए दूध में धीरे- धीरे डालकर लगातार चलाते रहेंगे  जब तक कि यह मिश्रण पूरी तरह से गाड़ा हो जाए  तब तक फिर गैस बंद करके इसे ठंडा होने देंगे अब एक कंटेनर में टोस्ट को जमा कर रखेंगे  फिर सारे टोस्ट के ऊपर बनाई हुई चाशनी को डालेंगे  फिर इसमें कस्टर्ड मिल्क डालकर इस पर कोकोनट का पाउडर फैला देंगे और कुछ काजू बादाम, पिस्ता को भी डाल देंगे  अब सेम इसी तरह से फिर से टोस्ट रख कर यही प्रोसेस दुबारा से कर लेंगे  मीन्स दो लेयर में बनाना होगा फिर से उपर भी गार्निश कर लेंगे सभी ड्राय फ़्रूट और कोकोनट पाउडर डाल कर  अब इसे फ्रिज में ठंडा होने के लिए रख देंगे  ४-५ घंटे बाद निकालकर  डेज़र्ट की तरह या मिठाई की तरह या पुडिंग की तरह से खाए और खिलाए

Wow, different layers of delicious goodness. I haven't had this especially with cardamom and saffron since these spices are not common in our daily cooking or food preparation. Custard layer with nuts and almonds make it tastier. It's an interesting combination.
