Why is Self-Voting Justice and good to Steem ? (v.1 part 1 : fair for investment and labors ) ( https://steemit.com/steem/@selfvotejustice/why-is-self-voting-justice-and-good-to-steem-v-1-part-1 ) 2018.07.04.Wed.16:40 (CST), July4th, Independence Day by @SelfVoteJustice (wrote in utc+9 zone) Original writing was 4 days ago by @SteamSteem at his comment to my 1st post https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@selfvotejustice/nice-to-meet-you#@steamsteem/re-steamsteem-re-changyoon-re-steamsteem-re-selfvotejustice-nice-to-meet-you-20180701t024703617z That's exactly what I think about self-vote, and he and I totally agree with this idea, so here I show his and my opinions. == # Why is Self-Voting Justice and good to Steem ? (v.1 part 1) . # <div class="phishy"> Self-Voting is a fair efforts to secure </div> # <div class="phishy"> the rewards for each steemian's SteemPower investment </div> # <div class="phishy"> and also the rewards for each steemian's labors. </div> . . <div class="phishy"> Here labors mean writer's writing and curator's curation, </div> and self-voting is a kind of curation. To most writers, their own writings are the most valuable compared to other's writings. In that sense, writer's best curation is self-voting. When they encounter other good writings, they are pleased to evaluate good writings as voting rewards, too. -- Some stupid Steemians seem to have a stupid idea that self-voting is greedy and kill Steem community and Steem future. Some stupid Steemians are trying to repel many other Steemian insisting they are for Steem community and Steem's future in order to gather more new good-writer Steemians. It's the stupid self-fucked-justice Bamboo-spearing Red Guard's idea. Isn't it really stupid to bamboo-spear and repel current existing customers with lots of SteemPower investment, in order to gather new customers with no guarantee of SteemPower investment ? The reality is that the more profit and benefits the current Steemians get for what they have invested, the more new Steemains will invest in Steem. It is so simple. As more and more SteemPower investers are getting benefit from the fair self-voting, more and more outsiders will join in Steem to get such profit and benefit, and more and more good writers will be among them. Steemians will have chances to see many more good writings in Steem, and they will vote for the good writings. That is exactly to the Steem's spirit, rewards for good writings. If you try to bamboo-spear and exclude current Steemians with lots of SteemPower investment, there will be no or little waterfall effect from the rich Steemians to good writers and you will eventually lose good writers, resulting in less new Steemians, whether they are for investment profits or writing rewards. -- If you want to know what to do to support Self-Vote-Justice campaign, please see Self-Vote-Justice campaign - what to do ? Hi @selfvotejustice how are you Hopefully you are very good I like reading your post. I remembered one thing, I went to take a job interview. There were some patental work there. After finishing the job, everyone was asked to vote, to choose which one is good in the eyes. Everyone voted on each other, but one was the exception that he voted for his own work, so everyone got one vote, and he got two votes. The result of the two votes which had become their job. So I would say, who can not judge himself if he does not judge himself, then how will one judge others. take care Bye

@ahsanul540, Thank you for your advice. As I commented in your post as below https://steemit.com/life/@ahsanul540/life-is-strange-those-who-are-curved-they-are-released-who-are-straight-they-were-thrown-in#@selfvotejustice/re-ahsanul540-life-is-strange-those-who-are-curved-they-are-released-who-are-straight-they-were-thrown-in-20180705t064901740z I think that you are using too simple metaphor for the very complex situations of self-voting. In your case, just one voting was done. In steem, you may vote many times. Voting is the fundamental right of the curators. Each curator has different view on the beauty, taste, religion, truth, writing, curation. I think that people should do their own business instead of putting their nose into others' judgements, etc. Humans are not clones nor robots.

The student council types who donβt like seeing people get a return on their money are the biggest critics of self voting.

Thank you for your writing. The 'student council type' you mentioned are generally young and stupid yet without enough life experiences, and has the tendency to be moved by the self-fucked-justice standard, and are easily deceived and propaganded by those who hide their own intention and decorate with good remarks. In China, such student council types were once utilized by Mao's so-called 'Cultural Revolution' Power Game, and the Red Guards bamboo-speared even their fathers and families. China is said to have lost 20 years development with this kind of bamboo-spearing. We should get rid of this kind of bamboo-spearing in Steem.

Self voting is a contentious subject, whose mention draws a lot of bad blood. The Common factor nonetheless, is that ;everyone' self votes, including those who are acidly against it. They may not do so in their 'known accounts', but with 'multiple account' ownership allowed, it is obvious some people upvote their posts using their alt accounts. That is still self voting, albeit pretentiously. So the reality is that every one upvotes. And yes, there are advanatges to that. I agree with you on some of your explanations, though maybe not with all, but most! For example, i agree that if you have invested in steem power, one way to earn is to self upvote. That is a fact, which only those who have never invested in steem power disagree with! But that it is a fact all the same. I think, and this is my opinion, that the conetntions, should be on the extent to which one self upvotes, relative to voting others. I am of the mind that the a fair balance between self-voting and upvotingothers is the way to go. Because again, self voting, and only self voting, is also not good, whether or not you have invested in steem power. But to do so, while also voting others, is a fair deal. Becasue as you correctly say, one way of encouraging more members into steemit is if they know that they can invest and earn curation benefits, which includes from self voting but also one way to retain new users who are unable to invest from the start, is to reward their quality works And i am glad you actually agree when you say >When they encounter other good writings, they are pleased to evaluate good writings as voting rewards, too. That is very important for the health of the system, because it encourages those who can't afford to invest from the onset, to also join and stay, confident that they will be rewarded if they make good content. So overall, what are my thoughts on self voting: This - One, It is bad and harms the platform, if one only and only selfvotes their account. Two, it is acceptable, if one self upvotes his/her account while at the same time also upvoting others who create good content. And i say this, with a clear unbiased mind. And just so you know, i have never really self upvoted from since i joined, never! It is a record i am proud of , alhough maybe that is because my upvote is still worth 'nothing'!!! lol. EDIT -And one more thing, can you by the way look up on my blog and check out! I am running a an initiative aimed at rewarding planktons. Check it out if you have some time, and if you can manage, give me your honest opinion on it.

I haven't read all your comments above yet. I noticed the last paragraph first, the EDIT part. Personally I oppose to such hypocritical initiatives like help planktons in Steem. Planktons should buy Steem coin and power up to thrive in Steem blockchain as much as they can. I will read more later and reply more.

I agree. I think our current anti-selfvoting culture helps reduce investment in the Steem blockchain and keeps the price of Steem lower than it should be.

It's not that serious problem. It's even not a problem at all... Just use our investment perspective. Someone bought Steem to increase their SteemPower, we can call it investment. And while someone do self vote on their own post(s) or comment(s), we can call it safe investment or passive-income. While they choose to upvote others comments, we could call it charity. The decission is on his/her fingertip. So where is the problem. I thought that this perspective on something known as 'problem' is the best: >βThe problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problemβ β Captain Jack Sparrow LoL

I agree that Self-Voting is not a problem at all. The PROBLEM I think is that the People's-Court-Bamboo-Spearing Red Guards who blame Self-Vote as Abusing at their self-fucked-justice standard and who don't see the variety of various people in the real world and Steem world and force all the people into uniform thinking of their own self-fucked-justice. People's-Court-Bamboo-Spearing Red Guards are attacking and hurting the feelings of most Steemians and expelling them. I think that such Bamboo-Spearing is one of the most significant Abusing to Steem. I @SelfVoteJustice is borne to Steem to repel such Bamboo-Spearing Abusing, the greatest enemy to Steem.

Hahahahahaha... What can I do but agree... Cryptocurrency using formal-logic mechanism. As long as you do something formal neiter something logic according to the system then there is/are no something wrong about it. IMHO, there is no concept such sin in cryptocurrency as long as you are not harming the system. This is just my another point of view, Pal... There will always someone against you wheter you do something right or wrong. That's life... :)
